CrustyPete - no way would CVLP have gone into partnership with a tiny UK biotech if they didn't have high expectations of success (CVLP won't want its first trial partnerships to end in failure), and to have this confidence they must have been given some insight into cohort 3 progress (which Phil's comments also indicated are going well). The partnerships with CVLP is therefore more than just a speeding up of trials - it is a message that iSCB1+ is working well.

The fact that CVLP have come on board for cohort 4 must read very positively for the early results from cohort 3. At this early stage of their existence CVLP wouldn't be partnering with a tiny UK biotech unless the chances of success were high. At this stage the CVLP will be looking for early wins to boost their credibility and must see this as just such an opportunity.

If cohort 4 results are good I expect that CVLP would definitely want to be in on the action for the registration trial as it will boost the CVLP credibility significantly if they are seen to have facilitated an accelerated path to approval for an effective off-the-shelf cancer vaccine. I expect however that Scancell will also want a US arm to the trail as this will likely smooth FDA approval.

The new website is much better on my mobile - great upgrade. And let's be realistic, the website isn't aimed at big pharma - they will get what they want direct from Scancell. The website is just there to satisfy the modern necessity of having on online presence to convey basic information about the company and to provide standard company details.

A post phase 2 deal for iSCIB1+ (or plain old SCIB1) will come with a chunky upfront payment (£50m region) plus the partner would fund the phase 3 IMO. No need for a raise is my guess.

Now of course is the time to increase holdings while the price is falling and low, but psychologically speaking folks will find this far more difficult than buying at a higher price when the price is rising. Hey ho.

CrustyPete - I think £750m would be a good price as Genmab would still be carrying a not insignificant risk of failure at phase 2/3. I would of course be even happier with $1.2bn. All very hypothetical at this stage anyway.

It is a tragedy that we can't edit our posts to remove the spelling mistakes that we are blind to when we first post.

Strong data from the first Genmab Phase 1, which will may well emerge as the trial progress rather than necessarily needing to reach the end on the Phase 1 (assuming that the phase 1 is open label), could well prove to be the catalyst for Genmab to strike a deal for the Glymab platform. If, based on the first phase 1, the Glymabs are looking like winners then through buying the Glymab platform Genmab could become the dominant player in a new and lucrative class of mAb's. Under these circumstances I can't imaging that Scancell / Vulpes / Redmile wool let the platform go for less than £750m.
