Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
Most of my daughter's friends have Covid, between 18-20 year olds, at the moment, quite a few for the second time.
She counted that exactly 34 currently have it, today, that she actually knew of. She's just recovering from it, thankfully.
I asked her how many reported it.... absolutely none of them!
We don't know why SNG was excluded from the Recovery Trial.... but I think it may well turn out for the best that we were.
I have to agree with Matterhorn that ACTIVE 2 and our own Phase 3 are superior trials to Recovery.....
Data is King.... far better to be in control of our own data in our own Phase 3 than in the hands of Horby/Recovery, I think we can all agree on that.... and ACTIVE 2 is far more thorough than Recovery too.... along with the fact that the US have supported us in the ways that UK appear to have not.
Morning.....
I feel we may well be about to get a lot of unwanted posts in the next few weeks as things start hotting up here.
It would be great if this time around we can just ignore/green bin them, and anyone else's views we don't agree with, and not clog the board up. New investors will see through them anyway, so no need to clarify for their sakes.
As my daughter loves to tell me, when I give her some unwanted advice.... "You do You"..... she's right... let people do what they do, and let's concentrate on what we do, which is finding out great intel (thank you to all of you that have), and supporting each other to our final goal.... it has not been an easy path to date. The in house bickering is pointless, we're mostly all on the same side here. Important Intel and posts will get lost otherwise..... and there maybe quite a few in the next fortnight.
Have a great Sunday.... and looking forward to an even greater week ahead.
You don't need Reddit to get any more information than Richard Marsden (in virtually all of his interviews dating back over a year) hasn't told us, repeatedly, all along.
Synairgen will be needed due to Variants & Stockpiling in time for Winter. You either trust him or you don't. But do take some time to re watch them.... it's all there, albeit in his rather understated way that he has.
The only thing he hasn't told us is EXACTLY when, coz he's not allowed to, but I reckon he knows that now too.
Woody.... I think we can safely say he broke the two meter rule!
No wonder he always looks a bit confused and distracted.
Interesting to read Lord Bethell sponsored her (Gina the mistress) for her parliamentary pass ... he was the hereditary peer who was initially pushing for Synairgen in the House of Lords earlier in the year.... and then nothing more was heard.
"However, it was an excellent indicator that health professionals are wanting us in phase 3"
mact4.... absolutely, the US have been behind us all the way, wanting us to work, which is why I can't see this not progressing.
In stark contrast to the UK..... mind blowing really.
I think we can safely say it's not one of us topping up our ISA.
Before seeing that I'd have predicted a drop to the mid 140's all week before a slow steady rise on Friday, and an RNS on Monday.
But with ACTIVE 2 news inbound, I guess it's in the hands of the Yanks, and could drop any time.
I'll be giving it one final top up from my ISA in the morning.
Woody.... I've often had to take a break from here for a week or two.... especially in the Eva and Scinv days, but make sure you come back. We need as many normal (ish!) people as possible on here to counteract the crazies!
We've both been here well over a year now..... and it's going to get exciting soon, don't miss all the fun x
WelshFalcon .... I agree.
I also think our Home Trial consisted of quite a healthy living middle class cohort.... think our BB filled half of it.... and anyone investing in shares isn't going to be on the breadline. USA cohort will be different.
Apart from that, as Ghia mentioned, the USA trial stats/monitoring system is far more in depth, and may well highlight things that the basic UK home trial missed/were unable to monitor.
gkb47.... That makes sense to me..... and if that is the case then surely the 10% who would either get ill from the vaccine or ill from the virus could in fact be treated with a suitable therapeutic instead, IF they catch the virus, either at home or in hospital...... obliterating breathlessness, deaths & long covid. Leaving the other 90% alone, as they never needed the vaccine anyway.
I am beginning to feel that Synairgen's P3 trial results may not, as we have all assumed, be arriving too late.... but exactly at the right time, when more data is available to possibly confirm the above. Just a sunny sunday morning theory!
Suzieanna..... thanks... my daughter is 19, I'm her mother. I've always given her my opinion, but let her decide, from pretty early on really.... if you push, they push back, so it's counter productive.
But really my question was, does anyone know what a result of 6.7 UA/ml actually means? If it means she's had covid, with no symptoms, my opinion is that the chances of her getting it again multiplied with the chances of her getting it badly when she didn't the first time are all so low, that I think she is right not to have the vaccine..... which, although I've had myself, and I'm not antivax, has some, albeit minimal, risk, especially for someone who is anaphylactic, as she is.
It surprises me that we have so many on here with concrete views, when there is still so much unknown. Not enough people say 'I don't know' anymore.... it's ok to not know. Far more damage is done to this world by the people who think and say they know, but don't. imo!
Luckily I don't see Joker's posts, as he's been in my green box for months with all the other crazies!
My teenage daughter is adamant to not be vaccinated..... as are most of her friends, full of theories over MRNA vax causing possible fertility issues, amongst others.
Because she has bad asthma/allergies, she has already been offered it, as there's a risk she'd be quite ill if she caught it. I said I'd pay for a antibody test, and if she'd had it, then she didn't have to have the vaccine. Tbh, although she's had no symptoms, I'd be amazed if she hadn't had it, that generation seem to spend their life hugging each other.
So she had the test, and the result came back:-
SARS-Cov-2 IgG Negative (-50)
Covid-19 IgG (AU/ml) - 6.8 UA/ml
6.8 UA/ml is obviously a very small amount, but to me, it reads that she's had it, but has few antibodies to it. But because it is less that 50, the test comes back negative.
My view is, if her body has come across it, and shown no symptoms, I'm not going to push her to have the vaccine.
But feel free to correct me if I've read this wrong.
Thanks Woody for the nice welcome.... I bought in because of you. Did my research too of course!
GETINTHERE.... Thanks for posting all that.
" Their difference results in a decrease of pharmacodynamic activity of about 25% for IFN-ß-1b, as compared to IFN-ß-1a. The decreased activity is compensated by a higher dosage of IFN-ß-1b per vial (Stürzebecher et al., 1999)."
When it says 'higher dosage', it doesn't say how much higher, I believe it is many multiples.... but someone more experienced on here would know (I'd like to say x1000 higher, but I could be getting confused with SC or IV). I assume higher dose also comes with more cost and side effects too.
Anyway, in my view it doesn't really matter. The Rubik Cube was copied and reproduced by many, many companies. But Mr Rubik made a fortune out of it, even though it was far more expensive.
Leaf1..... after giving your post some thought, I can't really see what they'd need to raise money for.
Phase 3 & manufacturing 100k treatments a month, all fully funded by last raise. Active 2 & 3 paid for by US.
What else is left?
Finally bought my first tranche in this yesterday at 1.93, after listening to the CEO, Mark, whom I found quite impressive.
Looks like I timed this one about right ... don't always! (fingers crossed!).
