Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
Anyone know what's going on?
Ruprah, a little confused by what you are saying. A bit of expansion would be good?
Guys, focus, shattly run company, yet a company with loads of potential. It's a buy out on the way.
Spoon,
"Thanks for the replies you lot, Bamps my mentioning EUA wasn't me saying it was good or bad in anyway as that would be unfair to GPP..."
Forgive me for being pedantic.
You run in a stream.
Despite your lazy grammar, you are a very well educated individual!
Welcome Sharp Carpet Fitter!
I do apologise, couldn't resist.
I think you have made a wise investment here.
And I think you will do very very well, if you don't mind a 2+ year wait.
Wish I had £30+ k to throw in.
Personally don't think this is, by qualification, a metrics share.
If you are prepared to withstand the constant onslaught of controlled knockdown of SP, you, like the rest of us will make a bundle.
Good Luck!
Spoon, appreciated.
I am banking on another project to come up trumps.
Tony, looks like I should revisit my thoughts!
Hey Volvic, I appreciate what you're saying. Regardless of whether any co-owners bought in at a fraction of a penny (seriously wish I had!) or whether they bought in at the 30's, if they are prepared to hold, I believe they will all make money here. I don't think that's going to happen any time soon, but in 2 to 3 years time I hope for an SP somewhere in the region of £3 (I can offer absolutely nothing to support that value, but there again, why should I need to? It's my hope!)
Personally, I am waiting for the SP to reach a level that would allow me to average down considerably.
There maybe others who are looking for the same? As a LNW retail investor I realise that my transactions will have no impact whatsoever on the SP.
But, I suspect that when the SP reaches a level that allows retail investors who bought in anywhere above the 26p mark to average down to below 22p we shall see a surge in the SP.
The funny thing is, I believe those who bought in above the 26p level, especially those who were joy riders, will, because of the continuous decline (no pun intended) have done some deeper research in to GGP and discovered what a gold mine they are sitting on.
I think they will improve their positions rather than sell.
As for the alleged "controlling" of Market Makers - who knows?
I do believe the drop in SP, at some point, will encourage a buying frenzy from current high entry point holders, add on the observers and that will propel the SP even more.
No one has asked my advice, and are highly unlikely to do so, but for what it's worth I would sit tight after the propulsion, expect the natural down-turn and await the real explosion that will, I hope, follow.
(I use 22p because that is Shaun's option point - I consider that to be a safety net)
Hold for Gold
I suppose we shall have to accept that.
Nothing official here, no insider funny business, just my opinion. resulting from my own research.
Give it 4 months. possibly less and that's it. Someone else might counter, but who knows?
Neither a ramp nor de-ramp, obviously! Just wanted to put forward my thoughts.
The clues are in the detail.
Grimnasty,
sometimes there are clues, sometimes there are blatant, in your face clues!
Martin is stacking up on a regular basis.
There's a takeover on it's way, in my opinion.
Have seen this buying behaviour in a few companies in the past. Must say though, when the CFO buys, it's a very good indication. Finance guys, forgive me for saying, are usually on the spectrum, and if they make a substantial purchase, I tend to follow. This method has worked well for me roughly 8 times out of 10.
So, If the CFO pops up with a buy, I shall replicate.
Just my opinion of course!
TJ,
we need to look beyond Havieron. Shaun is planning to expand big time!
Oilmonkey, Get what you are saying, but I guess that's not what he is referring to.
122 and save yourself.
Shaun himself said there was a funding hurdle.
Kevin, apologies if I have upset you. It was not my intention to do so.
I merely sought clarification.
Tier 1 classification in gold mining terms (albeit, a general consensus between those in the industry) has no real bearing.
The trend seems to be 4k - 7k over a 10 year lifespan.
Newcrest have set the bar somewhat higher.
Perhaps you could expand on what you mean by Tier 1 find, jurisdiction and partner?
Only hope for me here is takeover. The SP has been supressed. 12 month average is a gateway for possible suitors. Not looking good. Written this one off already, but who know's?
All good, but struggling to understand what Shaun meant when he said -
"One of the great benefits of our relationship with Newcrest is that the funding hurdle is only going to be a fraction of our market cap (currently around £750 million, or US$1.04 billion), so we're only going to need a fraction of that to put this into production."
With a £50m loan over 10 years, why is there a funding hurdle, at all?
Am I missing something?
Shaun's words:
"We're also finding that Australian and American institutions are seeking to invest in us through the London platform. Ultimately I don't think being listed in London has impaired our ability to get traction with institutions around the world."
Planning to list on the ASX? Would make sense, especially when it comes down to the benefits to be gained!
Barlark still listening as I write. Lots of jigsaw pieces posted here... seems like I now have a chance of putting those pieces together.
MH01 thank you for pointing that out, not only for me, but to the new investors too.
