If colleagues are so minded, perhaps we could look at some products a little closer and hope some people may correct any mistakes or misunderstandings. For a start could we look at footwear please ? Fairly recently, we learned of a company called Inov-8, based in the Lake District and designing footwear for Fell Runners and other people which will incorporate graphene to enhance performance. I am not aware if they are on sale yet. Very recently, we have been told of a partnership with a company called Vivobarefoot who design "Minimalist" footwear and will incorporate graphene to enhance such things as resistance to puncture, presumably, of the sole of the shoe. Are there shoes on sale,if so, where and at what price ? Thank You, Max.

If you choose a Dot tailight for a replacement would you not require for both taillights to be "Dotted", is that the law about lights ? I have not been driving for about 7 years due to eye sight deterioration. As for printing, is it on paper or what ? Please keep people like me up to date if possible. Thank You, Max

I should also have mentioned that Rdsb have a chemical plant (maybe more than one) in Germany and they need to use hydrogen in some processes. Since the present system (about 8 months ago) used carbon they were seeking to reduce the emissions and look for better ways. They therefore invited a number of companies to join a consortium (including ITMPower) to work together to design and build an external extension to the plant that would supply hydrogen in large quantities with much reduced emissions. On re-reading your posts, I gather you might be looking for another company to invest in. There are numerous "good" companies available but exercise care in your final decision. Some brokers would suggest using a Financial Adviser, but their services are not cheap and not always suitable for the client. If you have time on your side, you could choose, say, six companies from the Footsie 350, that includes the Footsie 100 and the the Footsie 250 index. The Footsie 100 index is thought of as Tier 1. You have already considered Tier 1 and chosen RDSB. Another solid company is Legal and General, an Insurance company based in Wolverhampton. This also is Tier 1. Their shares are about 250p. Read some of their RNS reports about the companies they invest in. Like other Insurers, they invest to ensure good income to pay the interest to people insured with them and their shareholders. To colleagues on both sides of the pond. Many of the Utility Compnies in the UK have been targeted by both Labour and Tory parties over the years since WW2. Lessons learned during WW2 included certain undeniable facts - production could be increased if the factories making guns or ammunition or building aircraft were to be made to work directly under a Minister of the Government who would be responsible for ironing out any problems of material, labour (ie workers) or other supply shortages. Lord Beaverbrook is often quoted as an outstanding Minister for Aircraft Production. Among the essential elements was the establishment of A.I.D. (Aircraft Inspection Division) who were very strict in their decisions on quality of work being presented. After WW2 a Labour government under Clement Attlee used some of these lessons learned to "Nationalise" certain sectord of industry, perhaps the first was applied to the coal Industry which like the railways, was by now a decrepit industry absolutely needing to be modernised but the owners had no money or, in many cases, no inclination to spend on new methods and equipment. Modernising would also mean training of the workers, again an expense they didn't want. So, Ernie Bevin was appointed to the mining industry and he even introduced special workers known as Bevin Boys. These were men who had been registered for conscription into the armed forces but were diverted to working in the mines. This was known as "Nationalisation". Years later, Mrs Thatcher's Conservative government decided to kill the mining industry and sold it off to whoever fancied it, UK people or people from abroad - not keepnig any kind of control in her homeland. This kind of action was known as "Privatisation" Max.

Dear Sir, May I welcome you to this Board ! I believe Shell has so many irons in the fire that althought their main products are based on oil and natural gas and all their ramifications, they are determined to seek major shares in other energy fields. Examples are joining the Hydrogen Council to drive developments in transport systems using hydrogen as the fuel of choice, recognising the NON-EMISSION, except of water; from all kinds of vehicles whether road ,such as cars, lorries, buses; rail traffic such as in France and Germany: and shipping !! They have an arrangement in the UK with a company called ITMPower for this company to install hydrogen refuelling stations at their normal fuelling stations. RDSB have also announced another agreement to install electric charging points for "Tesla" style electric cars at the same fuelling stations. What pogress has taken place rescently, I don't know. Present Situation - as far as I am aware. Newfoundland and Labrador Region - Documents submitted a long time ago to the Provincial Government, still awaiting news about the situation there - SO wait on events ! Alberta Province - Tie up with Mentis People regarding Forestry Management and delivery of forestry waste, to factory there to produce Coalswitch to be used instead of coal in UNrefitted power plants to give far less environmental emissions bringing about much better air quality ! NO factory there yet due to circumstances I know not of ! State of Utah - Salt Lake City (Fantastic name i think) University of Utah carried out tests of Coalswitch in their labs and declared it a success although calorific values of Coalswitch were slightly less than the coal they compared it with. Negotiations continued with Rocky Mountain Power company who have a power plant in Salt Lake City suburb. A Letter of Approval was received from the Governor of Utah's Office of Energy, which spoke of mixing coalswitch with varying amounts of coal, this would encourage others to take more notice of the qualities of Coalswitch and perhaps persuade them to try the new material as a standalone fuel. Early in February 2018 Ken Clark of a company called Pacific Corp which owns Rocky Mountain Power Company, opened a factory built in Utah to provide Coalswitch at a rate of 5 tons per hour, with modifications available to produce 10 tons per hour. The Head of the Govenor's Office of Enegy also spoke about this great idea and welcomed people on behalf of the Governor, who does seem enthusiasticabout the whole thing. The Rocky Mountain power is now producing electricity, I understand, using Coalswitch and will report at some suitable time to the Governor, then others involved. A video was made of the opening ceremony and I was very pleased that Leaders of the Metis peo[le were there to see everything going on and make their views known. SO there should be news coming from AEG and maybe others shortly. Let us hope for a successful out come for everyone concerned. It appears that a film script is being written on today's chat line, similar to various Bond and other adventurous characters, who are desperate to get their hands on the money without any of the dangerous situations outlined. Perhaps the writer could volunteer to do some of the trivialised UK Trade trips passed over so blythely. I do hope the Medical Profession will not mind some doctors to be said to be "One Man Band" in one instance and another said to be a GP who was involved in Formula 1 activities. Let us hope that the arrangement with the Authorities in Paris for the new equipment of monirors and probes will lead to other large cities in France and elsewhere wishing to emulate the Capital's foresight and seek to make similar agreements with Deltex for the better treatment of their patients. Dr Arman Memandzedah - Orthopeadic Surgeon will lead the trials at the Addenbrooke Hospital. Dr Simon Rudland from Stowhealth will work with the hospital team on suitability of data for post- hospital care. Dr Chris Crockford will act as Liaison between hospital and VRS. The whole project is designed to use sensors developed at Cambridge Graphene Ltd a subsiduary of VRS. What a great Project this appears to be ! It deserves all our good wishes for the better treatment of patients. I feel sure other doctors from UK and abroad will wish to learn not only the systerm but its positive outcomes. I think the level of discussions this evening is of a high order and I am attempting to learn important aspects of the business of the company and the Developed Views of the members taking part in the discussion. Please continue to educate those members wishing to learn not just recent history of the company but also probable developments to come. A recent CNet article provided by a member gave a dramatic review of the possible, and probable, very great advances which may occur in Medicine, for example. I would like to stress my use of Developed Views of members since I think it goes without saying that frequent reading of other opinions and formulating precise, concise and structural responsors to grand theories or misunderstood remarks are worth their weght in gold. An article regarding the work at Adelade University says that Graphene Oxide (GO) is NOT used since it has limitations. That is wCheers, Maxhere I got my inspiration regarding the work at Adelade.

Many thanks for your correction - it is 3kg into 9,997 kg of concrete !!!! An even better proportion of graphene to conctrete ! I am hoping Dave might comment upon how they test concrete for compression and tensile. Is it time consuming to determine the results and examine for any possible cracks ? Since the article states "Nano Cracks" and "Micro Cracks" how are these measured - lengthwise or by width - or both ? Thanks Max

Thank you for the link to concrete. Very clear description of the work going on at the University of Adelade. They have discovered that 0.03% of graphene gives a great increase in strength, in both compressive and tensile, of the order of 22% and 23%respectively. Now they are working on the admixture to ensure the flakes of graphene are well distributed, so that a Nano crack is prevented from becoming a microcrack. The 0.03% works out at three kilograms to be added to 997 kilograms to create a 1000 kilogram amount of "Smart Concrete". Good stuff - iff I have got that right !! Thanks very much, max.

"Keen to see Graphene Factories starting up" - And so say all of us! On this board we have learned that Tata are working very hard on the coating of steel sections for buildings, an Italian company is using graphene to improve its asphalt in road building, now you might explain for us how concrete may be improved by graphene. Perhaps this company with its connections with your University and Cambridge University may prove to be the next IBM or something similar for us in this country. The duty of an Advisor will include, I assume, confidentiality with regard to a wide range of topics which may be disseminated by the issuance of Advisory Board Minutes after regulated meetings. The Advisory Board would probably submit its minutes, findings, and recommendations to particular Departments of the Adminstration before releasing them for public consumption.
