I believe you are correct in all you say, you do mean Port of St John ? If a factory to manufacture articles could be established, quite probaly later in the scheme, this could encourage the local people to take up the challenge of making perhaps, furniture of their own design which might appeal to some European people. It might require, perhaps, some hardwood, but I have no idea if they have such timber. If exports were developed then tariffs from elsewhere may be avoided !

Thanks for your note: I know that the factories to make Coalswitch are demountable, the company have said they should be positioned reasonably close to where they gather the forest waste. I mentioned another factory of a different type where people could be employed manufacturing Finished Articles for sale in Europe, etc. Most of this was going to be in the final document to be submitted last June ! Might I just add - I think I read in the much earlier reports that a factory to produce Finished Articles could be built close to the probable docks on the East Coast ready for shipping to customers in Europe and elsewhere. Now and then, Luminescence is mentioned on this forum. Has anyone considered how this property may be used to help people with poor eyesight to be guided into safe passage ways, etc. I found it sometimes difficult when entering local hospitals to avoid being knocked down by more able bodied people rushing in or out. Repeatedly espousing that a Broom Cupboard or Shared Accommodation would be a satisfactory solution for an office for this company may be very close to belittling the company in th eyes of its shareholders and others who may think the company you may sometimes proclaim you love is not worthy of a properly consituted office and workplace to conduct it's business transactions in the confidential manner most companies would expect. Your "Victorian" ideas of a suitable workplace should be cast to the winds. You implore people to get real, and then immdeiately declare: "Besides its just not needed." Oh and also you start by by being "Absolutely Honest" in the first paragraph and drop to being "Honest" in your last paragraph. Reading comments today, it would appear that ISO is seen as being unnecessary and even beaurocratic. ! Many companies around the world have made or are making products to be used in industries such as Oil and Gas drilling and production. In most instances they may have to work to API Standards or their work may be rejected. ISO attempts to incorporate many or all of API clauses in their publications. HS says the industrial revolution happened without ISO. BUT look at what happened without some criteria as to the desired standard. Many industrial disasters occured taking many lives because the finished products were shoddy and dangerous. (API) American Petroleum Institute. If Neil is busy getting ready now for ISO, it is already too late. To be a leader in the industry, as he is, setting the pace, then the eventual ISO will have passed through the hands of the American Advisory Body to which he was appointed. Perfect assessment there by you today - I always considered Websites as a Static type of info - No More ! If a website remains unaltered for a period then the company concerned is losing a great potential selling point for its goods or chattels and is in danger of losing future customers. I suppose the value of any website to the owners is a mark of the companies interest in keeping their products in the public domain. There used to be great efforts made to obtain the right to a websites name - and variations thereof. I have learned, over the years not to value a company by its flag waving, ie website. I had been watching TP for sometime when suddenly they announced the purchase of Shaw Sheet metal Works. They said the Shaw firm did Laser Cutting. This spelled out to me that they used stainless Steel in some of their products. During the following period new machines were obtained which I 'read' as new "Laser Cutting" machines, perhaps capable of cutting thicker stainless plate. Perhaps some of these items would be sent down to Portsmouth for fitting in their assamblies, especially if required by the customer. The outfitting at Dukinfield, not so far from Shaw could serve a number of purposes, fabrication at Shaw, machining at D. if needed. Linking up with Portsmouth for certain assamblies could mean more "productivity" being achieved ! Now under one overall team to create the best results for our Royal Navy Seamen ! In case you missed the point, i thought we, collectively, All Numpties together, may look out for items appearing in the shops, particularly in London, where most Numpties seem to exist. This could be a useful thing to do to establish that the products are actually available to customers who may well appreciate the enhancements promised by the use of Graphene. Now who is a NUMPTY ?
