For companies to buy the products it appears that practical demonstrations are required. Training in the use of the equipment would also be required. As new technology sweeps into industry, such as AR, companies will face ------ decision making ------- Do we go with this new idea OR do we get left behind if we don't ?? I can remember the introduction of new welding systems into industry. Many people highly skilled in certain techniques failed to make progress in new methods. I mentioned Lloyds have a lot of shares. Apparently, they have 71 Billion shares in Issue. To move the SP up (or down) 1p. requires 71 X 1 billion pence to be moved. Chinese researchers are developing sails with graphene, one of the strongest and thinnest known materials, which can withstand temperatures over 800 degrees centigrade.

Previous research conducted by Professor Chen Yongsheng, of Nankai University, showed graphene can be driven by various light sources including sunlight, and the thrust generated is 1,000 times higher than that of polyimide film in vacuum conditions.

“It’s just the beginning. We need to conduct further research on the mechanisms and properties of the graphene and light-powered spacecraft. If we make breakthroughs in this technology, it would facilitate exploration to the unknown universe,” Song said.

Graphene, which is just one atom thick, could enable light-powered propulsion technology leading to fuel-free spacecraft. Traditional spacecraft depend on chemical propellants, and the amount they carry determines how far they can fly, said Song Shengju, the research leader at the China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology.

More than 80 percent of the takeoff weight of current carrier rockets is chemical propellants. If spacecraft could travel without fuel, humans could explore much farther into deep space, Song said. Scientists in other countries have been studying light-powered propulsion technology. There are about 400 billion stars in the galaxy, and their light could become an inexhaustible energy source.

This company is always searching for new oil fields, have you noticed ? It seems they wish to have developments in places where political unrest is rare. This would ensure steady and secure production whether or not OPEC were making changes. About a year ago, Brazil auctioned off six blocks of OFF shore oil field to companies, as follows. Exxon (USA) One block, BP (UK) Two blocks, Shell Three blocks. Only recently, they took over a block in the Southern North Sea. I think they are a firm worth backing, despite Brexit. I used to religiously book down closing prices until I realised I was making work for myself. I now try to book down weekend results and I feel I can almost forecast most results each week, I do daily scans to keep n eye on movers, but more so to read the sensible comments on most boards. W - I looked very carefully at Sirius some time ago. Two things bothered me. (1) They had a wharf on Teeside I think to load ships. There seemed to be no direct roads from their site to the wharf, they were considering digging a tunnel all the way to connect them. Brexit will soon be here !! Mr Rum has showb us a fair amont of buying by Investor Companies. When you read some posts they use a lot of initials. PI for us private investors and II for investment firms. If then IIs are buying at this point close to Brer then perhaps they feel these shares will be alright. I agree nothing is certain but this share seems to be capable of surviving, even if it does drop. It claims, and I believe it, that it is the safest firm in this tool hire business. They own British Lloyds Testing which can certify that the gear firms are going to hire are safe to use, and will offer training in the use of the gear if desired. Thanks for your note, it seems Germany of all places, narrowly avoided slipping into recession. The third quarter 2018 showed a decline of 0.2 and Q4 was slighly above Zero. Two Quarter declines in succession indicates recession. Confusion among the public about emissions from cars is part of the reasons put forward. Car salkes there are in decline as well as elsewhere. Brexiteers are apparently cheering this news as some justification for us to make our own way better. Is there a British owned and run car maker in the UK ? is there a Plane maker? A train maker? We do have pie makers and some are excellent. Brexit has probably had a profound effect on our shares. We bought two firms who supplied lifting gear to building sites, I imagined the lifts replacing the system of hod-carriers. However, there seems to have been a bit of a pause in the housebuilding programmes which may be due to Brexit deterring potential buyers from overseas, particularly in London and surrounds. The recent purchase of Geason may bring some government finance for training purposes. We have some depots in Ireland and I don't know how these might be affected, must wait and see. ----- Yours, Max.

Good Evening and Welcome. You mention ISOs in the latter part of your post. Have you come across any evidence of when we should actually receive news of the publication dates of the respective ISOs. We do have people working on these very inportant publications but I am afraid I have not seen any notes on the dates we are expecting. I wonder whether any other colleagues can help here. I much prefer solid information rather than guesses, don't you ? The National Graphene Institute (NGI) was established at the University of Manchester sometime ago and followed recently by GEIC also at The same University. So that is two bodies based at the place where Graphene was first discovered. Please let us know about the situation regarding the ISOs when you find out, for all our benefit.
