RE: PLEASE EXPLAIN TO US14 May 2020 12:41
Someone with some sense at last. The Roche test requires a huge piece of equipment to run these antibody tests no doubt at a cost of £100K upwards and is NOT a handheld POC (point of care) test. It is likely this will prevent a further 50,000 swabs being sent to the US for testing because we do not have the capacity in the UK to test. Some important facts.
1. The government are sending out swabs in the post, yes swabs not tests to front line NHS workers. These are then posted via Royal Mail to the various labs in order to carry out lab based testing. Many of these swabs are not being tested as reported by many NHS workers.
2. Testing will have to take place for every single person in the UK in order to promote an immunity passport system. This will allow those to return to work who are likely to have immunity and for the economy to get back on its feet. I say likely as we don’t yet have historical data to back up any claims. It is highly likely that every single individual in the UK will require testing every 14 days.
So for all those doubting Thomas’s and their silly comments regarding ODX, please keep selling your shares and let us intelligent mortals pick these up at silly prices. I for one will be doing just that!
