What I would like to know is who is project managing/leading comms with the government and how are they going to move forward from this. Are Omega going to become a 3rd party contract manufacturing company ...? Are they considering contacting Nicola Sturgeon for some help on this or are they going to sit back and do nothing?
Chris Lea seems to have a good CV.
Calderkate - please go and read a magazine or something. I like to read from those in the know with regards investing but your trivia about were you live etc is just trivia. Please get off this board and take up knitting or something.
My thoughts are that the new FD should take over from CK.
Wadogora - your positive messages keep me sane. I am down 6 figures but I am going to remain hopeful. Things can turn quickly. Look at where ODX where a few years ago at 0.9 pence. There was a lot of hype regarding onshoring and was it Lord Bell that came out in support of British Diagnostic companies manufacturing covid tests.
DOES ANYONE THINK CK SHOULD REMAIN?
Yes the FDA application process is normally very arduous but there is emergency use approval for LFT's which I believe short cuts the system and only takes a few weeks. There is also a dire need for home tests in the US. So in this case if America are not supplying they have to look elsewhere. We are all in shock and suffering from the BOD at ODX and lack of clarity of government contracts but we should not give up hope.
Sorry who is Macmillan????
Oh Dear all you rampers and derampers you really need to do your homework instead of doing a knee jerk. The US market is where ODX are going to come into their own. Now Colin is not in a position to say too much but here is a statement from the EX Chairman who seems to know what he is talking about. Common sense prevails here:-
nxc: My modelling has always been based on an assumption of 50% margin and I do not see that changing - that is based on fully loaded cost as opposed to purely marginal cost. I may be wide of the mark and my model was based on supplying the UK Government. The dynamics with DHSC are complex and ODX have gone out of their way not to alienate them ( whereas Mologic are on the other side of that line and have effectively been blackballed) I hope this is recognised. However I am more excited by the opportunity for self-test in the States - they only have 58% vaccinated and the Delta variant remains and on the increase and I know ( based on one particular potential customer). the demand is there at a daily level that is three to five times ODX"s weekly capacity - a different type of problem I realise - perhaps ODX are conflicted due to their commitments to HMG.
TWatcher - you are wrong he is not the ex CEO of Omega he is the ex Chairman! If you are going to put something in writing at least have your facts right.
Ishty - absolutely agree with you. They won't have put all their eggs in one basket and there will be a rabbit that is pulled out the hat. His name is FDA - HUA.
Sonnets where the hell have you been. Do you ever do any research. Yes they did attend Medica, why? Will it boost the share price.
So Bill Rhodes receives an annual salary of £50k and £410k when he exercised his options and all for once a month phone in Board meeting. Absolute insult to investors who have committed to this share. Time the BOD are replaced, COMPLETELY.
Anyone think Boris and CK might be bumbling brothers ..........
Defo this side of Christmas and what a lovely Christmas it will be if this one lands. Looks like all the cards are starting stack in the right place. Maybe we can rid the board of derampers who should be banned.
The board has been a bit sickening of late but looking good. What's that Sinatra song, Fly me to the Moon..... Certainly looks like the SP is flying and if I recall correctly there was a prediction last year of £2.75 Won't happen overnight but as long as it keeps going in the right direction I am quite happy to sit and hold
Quite simply those born with a silver spoon are destroying our country and we sit and watch!
There is a clear disparity between BOD's and investors in general. The BOD are typically so arrogant they are blinded to what investors are seeking in a Company. They have no clear understanding of 1. the risk investors take 2. investors pay their salaries 3. investors provide them with much needed funds to expand their companies. What do investors look for:- 1. Clarity 2. Communications 3. an uplift in share price. Not a lot to ask. Back to ODX they need to wake up and smell the coffee. If they don't pull the rabbit out the hat on or by the 25th of this month CK should be voted out - that poor rabbit is going to end up rabbit stew
What did I tell you. Temp staff and not 250 perm staff. They are gearing up just in case they have to push the GO button to their Wallace and Gromit production line.
Assagai72 - If there is a closed period it is usually because there is sensitive information that the BOD are aware of that could influence the SP. In other wards an announcement of some sort is due. Could be Gov contract, takeover a long list of possibilities. Not sure how investors can find out if a closed period or not. Anyone want to add to this?
