Not worth my time digging up recent past,but the point of the post is to put forward an eye opener to this mess…the people who make these decisions are in it to protect themselves…they will say in private there will be casualties…or low lying fruit…those that are get caught up in the games,and there will be many…whist in the back ground the orchestrates sit protected from collateral damage,knowing they will still be paid handsomely for poor decisions…

A little background first and my dismay.
Took a company with no union from nothing to full recognition within 6 months under onslaught from company.
Did this in a still record time..all details on the cac website.
I have a very good insight into management and unions and will share my thoughts.
I do believe in unions to a degree…but I would say all are in it for themselves,to pat themselves on the back…
Each year after a record victory against massive odds I was asked to speak at various big wig events,pushing the minnow and what they can do…after doing this once at the the labour conference a few years ago with the labour leaders…I soon realised this was not for me…you get invited to all the parties,free travel,accommodation,free food and drinks all weekend,and all just to have a good time…take your wife,no one will no…what a bloody joke..
The first thing now I would do is seek out at the next conference the self indulged idiot that thought it was a good idea to open up Pandora’s box and strike,surely those at the top realised that once strike action is taken the company,due to the small print in those agreement opened up and gave the company the ideal platform to take down brick by brick those very agreement put in place to protect the workers…
There were better options to take,no matter what you think of management,how bad you think they are,taking the worst option available now puts you in the worst position possible…it’s now upto the management to dictate where this goes,how far they want to go,how much of a squeeze they want to put on the workers..they have an end game and it’s not a nice one.
I would want to chat to the idiot who said yes..this is the way to go…but let’s not tell our members what we are giving away at the same time…we will look strong from far,we can tell everyone this for the good of the people…oh dear…

New conditions forced on you.

New conditions
Pay set out by management without the union involved.
Lower sick pay
Better disciplinary procedure to get shut of employees.
Weeken the union at every path.
The public will turn quicker long term..on top of that the changes that are going to be pushed through your going to be worse off by the month..just because you were invited to strike..lol
And you did that thinking you were strong and laughed..when the company just said thanks for that..trap laid...trap fell into hook line and sinker.
Once the company decides to move in the direction it pleases...thete will be Job losses.
Thats a fact..is you cannot see this you as a rep,and any reps on here are deluded.. and not fit for purpose.
That's without even touching k and the plans that go with that..

I now have no sympathy for any reps/union and they have been warned about if they keep striking the consequences…which look like are happening now in your area…
Job losses are something you will need to get used to…conditions will be changed…union popped in there place…get on board with streamlining to save your jobs…quite simple..

Bringing things to a head imo…is something I always wanted to do ,in anything I was involved in…it cuts the crap….if tonight’s news is correct,and posties are going ….then so be it…

The company is making no money…and carnt because of the uso.
Reduce staff and keep reducing until the finances say we are making money.

so today we offer them to you at the discounted price of £1.98... an absolute bargin price,as the union and posties were to daft not to take note....ideal for an isa or pension portfolio which you have to wait a few months to get it back.. prospect of a dividend but not guaranteed
so save a massive 70% off the rrp that the ceo set and grab yourself a bargain..
ps... no returns available as the old company RMG are striking,unfortunately the strikers cannot see that many more will be laid off,and that k will probably buy the company very cheap,as well as investors,making a killing once pre thought out plans by a management who out witted a union,that was told beforehand the repercussions if they continued standing in the cold.
This one off chance to buy a company at a reduced rate won’t be around for long…just like a lot of lemming posties.

Without trying to sound argumentative here.
Have ids not been saying cost cutting will be forced if the union do not come around the table constructively…
If they had done so then maybe other streamlining measures may have been employed(pardon the pun).
I can see the divi being stopped shortly,so shareholders will also feel the pain.
I have been saying for as long as it takes a first class letter to land on my mat that this would happen…this is just the start.
One job lost is one to many…but hey ho…let’s still strike,and if that fails…let me think…let’s strike a little more…
Somewhere at the top of this union there needs to be someone with strong personality to say..

And the union have sent out emails to all members warning them if they strike a lot of changes will happen…that striking will enable to spread up agreements,will give them the opportunity to claw some sick benefits back,change working practices,let people go,ect ect..wouldn’t want the union mongering would we:-)
