RE: Re: Questions sent for Q&A18 Jul 2020 16:13
Hello Borgie,
I have read all the rns's and am waiste deep in VAL and happy with my position.
There are a couple of things holding the share price here such as:
- People are out chasing rainbows because they think that there is only the trial headlines and think that it is coming at the end of September. We know and maybe the company can help highlight that there is other news that may arrive at anytime.
- People may be concerned that there will be dilution in the short term, so it would be helpful if the company could put people's minds at ease.
- The BOD are scientists and not really great at PR, so by answering some of my questions, I how that the penny will drop with people.
Remember the previous BOD did a or of damage to the company both financially and reputational, so imo the more the BOD can be out there and show that positive tangible things are happening.
So far there have been positive first steps in regards to policy and attitude towards shareholders. However, I think that if there is a negotiation going on, maybe the market should be told and I understand that they could reveal details, but ask yourself this- why mention SPV's without anything to differentiate it from just an idea?
IMO there is obviously a reason to mention SPV's because, I am of the view that an SPV is a solution to allow two parties to come together where assets and money is ring fences for a particular purpose .
There is no reason to publish a solution to a happy problem you do not yet have, or do we?
IMO and obviously putting 2+2=. I would Hazard a guess that the Japanese Pharma would want to take things to the next stage in regards to VAL301 as there is a Material Transfer Agreement, I point to the RNs on May 1st and the two paragraphs that look very interesting when you mention SPV's.
" 1 May 2020: ValiRx Plc (AIM: VAL), the clinical stage biotechnology company, announces that it has signed an agreement with a global Japanese pharmaceutical company to evaluate Valirx's therapeutic, VAL301, for the purpose to contemplate a potential future license, for its use in the treatment of endometriosis."
And
"To both parties' mutual potential benefit therefore and under the terms of the MTA, ValiRx will supply the required quantities of compound, while the Japanese sponsor will be responsible for undertaking an agreed programme of work at its own expense."
So this is what is driving my hypothesis. Another thing that comes to mind is that they are in final negotiations for 401 funding and an SPV would be a good way to get the money and protect both parties. So, I think that there is something a foot with one of the two compounds and this could be a game changer. It it would be nice to hear that there is something happening straight from the BOD
