I played in UKOG a few years back, and ultimately counted myself lucky when I got out at breakeven. a 23% return is not to be sniffed at, but UKOG isn't really about fundamental investing, more a study in behavioral psychology and guessing which direction the flows are going next. Not my forte, so I tend to keep clear!!

Here's mine: Blannco Technologies Communisis Petrofac Capita NCC All are high-ish risk (how else do they become value stocks) , but as long as 3 come good, I should be ahead!! 4 days ago, I would have had Cape in my top 5 as well, but this got bought out on Friday for a 46% premium (hurrah!). Charlotte - A rather sweeping and out of context post I'd say. I looked at the SE Board, and I think Stu was referring to cyclical mineral companies with poor regulatory oversight and little visibility (often found in far flung places). I don't quite see the jingoism that you implied. Anyway, he's entitled to his opinion, ultimately it's whether you pick the right stocks and make money! If you did buy this stock at £17.50, then you that can't have been before 2015, and if so, you and I would have to disagree on our definition of 'very long term'. I myself have been in since September 2010 with an in price of 375p (but added more at £3 a year later) [Smug face] ;-))

Well, there it is, cash bid at 265p. Slightly disappointed actually as I think this would have been worth far more than this in a year or two, but can't complain really! The deal was kept well under wraps though - stock price has been falling steadily in recent weeks!

I've played around in Barclays over the last few years rather successfully, but haven't broadened my exposure to the other banks. What's your price target for Lloyds? Elsewhere in te financials I've done well in L&G (which I think you know as I believe it was on the L&G Board we first chatted?)

You seem like a decent chap/lass, so a word of warning: please don't get sucked in by a slew of new positive posters who are simply here to try and ride the wave of a perceived bit of good news, and help it on its way with a fast flurry of banal and unsubstantiated positive comments. They're literally in it for an hour or two to try and make a few quid, and they always crop up on small volatile stocks like this one, have nothing of interest to say, and then, they quickly disappear into the ether when it all blows over.

Well that's my view as well Scotty, but laughably, this has been referred to as 'trolling' on this Board.....

No Scotty, it is not the total debt by any means. In December they had $670m of outstanding debt, since which time they have drawn a further $100m, so now around $770m. I have assumed an average interest rate of 9% (generous as I think the weighted average is nearer 9.5%) to get to $70m pa. I do hope you didn't buy believing the debt was only $100 - $150m.
