so, whilst I think the management here needs the proverbial kick up the backside, a 50% fall in the stock since January with little new news, and still holding some nice assets seems over done to me. I've previously purchased at 50p level (and slightly below) and feeling tempted here as well. I do think there's some assets here which are really interesting and which might be of interest to other Companies. Any other thoughts?

Good volume growth, whilst margins affected by full launch costs of new factories. Further growth should now fall straight through to the bottom line, and new product launches in H2 should drive that growth. Margins to improve over time. Stock price reacting sensibly (for once!)

It's St James Place I believe? they don't actually manage the money but employ a range of different third-party fund managers to manage each of their funds. You need to look at each of these individually to judge. in my experience, the line up is mixed.

Selling a few of these last year, but time to buy now. Stock looks cheap versus peers (whom it has lagged), particularly Astra. It has some fantastic cash generative businesses and brands, is on 14x earnings and has a 5% yield. Picked up more today and will add on further weakness. GLA

Hi Dave - yep looking forward to this with a mixture of excitement/apprehension - more of the former fortunately!!

David - Remember it's just an update statement - we'll have to wait for the full set of figures in September to get the whole story. Hopefully we'll get the opportunity to pick up a few cheap shares between now and then though!

...but in the price I'd say. Might slip back a bit from here, but be ready to buy lower down!
