Davey - Sorry, but you are not taking any currency exposure by buying the ADR versus the £ quote. Ultimately, you are buying the same company with the same underlying currency exposures, and this is the key, not the currency in which the shares are quoted. I have a feeling we've had this discussion before.....;--)

Agreed. My big fear at the end of the year was that someone would take them out at 180p. now we sit at 220p, I feel much more comfortable that any take out price will be nearer (what I believe is) the intrinsic value. That said, 21st is going to be a big day - Fingers crossed!!!

Trading update last year was for 4 months (1 June to 30 Sept) whereas this update will be covering the first 3 months.

They were fine - but, they weren't miles ahead of expectations whereas the stock has been on a flier, and is now on more than 30x earnings. I'm not terribly surprised with the fall, and indeed, could well fall back to the 270s. Having lightened my position a few months back, I'd buy them back below 250p.

So, I've given you all today to respond on the (bizarre) Zeneca observation , and surprise surprise - nothing. Just how many times are you going to embarrass yourself, before you cease insulting people for no reason, and either give up investing completely ('cause let's face it, you're out of your depth), or try a more collegiate approach which involves informed debate whereby you actually learn something.

WO - What are you on about? I've never posted on the Zeneca Board. I do hold the shares, but they're nicely in profit thanks. Perhaps you can enlighten me as to how your ******ed mind managed to come up with this irrelevant slur? If you'd like to talk about the stocks I post on and hold, can I refer you to AHT, RST, HCM, LGEN, CMS and MCRO. What we can say for sure is that you've lost a packet here, and know very little about investment and business models. Like I say, listen to your elders and betters and you might learn something ;-)

My understanding is that no ramp up is required - the products were all there waiting to go, and post approval, hospitals simply start using the new product. Fingers crossed!

That's the statutory results IP. The Underlying figures are the ones to focus on, and these show pre-tax of £238.5m, and eps of 31.5p. Also, rental growth of 17% in constant currency terms. Another great set of figures, and with full year consensus forecasts currently at 118p, I think we're going to see some nice upgrades here. I expect a stock price above £20 by year end now. GLA

You're pretty much ruining this Board by reporting everyone's posts. It seems to me that people report posts when they're losing the argument - same with filtering. I'm guessing this is already pretty obvious given the share price, but you're simply proving it.

Dave - they were extremely good, but my comments were in the context of expectations, which were also high. hence I would say modestly ahead of forecasts. Key will now be the extent to which analysts upgrade this year and next.
