What slow progress? they have said the government is very happy with Solgold. PFS a little late due to caronavirus but the government delayed permits and stuff in other areas due to caronavirus so they can’t really complain and I’d have thought they would easily get time extensions if needed due to it being out of there control.

I actually think open pit mines actually look pretty cool. I can see it being donated to the national park once it’s got a nice lake in the middle and being in the rainforest it wouldn’t take long for things to start growing again. I can imagine a nice viewing platform at the top and being one of the best ways to see such a large area of the rainforest all at once. Would be a good way to get out of paying maintenance as well. :)

It’s just stupid, 25% of the cut of mined profits would be way more than the price of solgold. It’s not in anyone’s interest not even BHP. If they wanted they would just buy 100% of the company.

Strange scare mongering going on today. Firstly someone thinking the cornerstone issue could effect SOLG and now this. Either people missed out on the rise or they sold and want in cheaper. Clearly struggling to come up with anything bad if the best you can do is make up completely random stuff.

Maybe the government will just wait until BHP build the mine and then screw them over? The government has agreements with solgold which are perfectly within timescales and they are actually very happy with solg.

Just wait for the PFS re-rate nick mentioned. This is only part of it and with other sites on the go the share price should stay up until colossal re-rate come DFS. Just listen to what the man says I know he can waffle but so do I!

I’m expecting this to be much higher after the PFS with broker valuations all updated and with the amount covering this there should be a fair bit of news.

Now they have other projects on the go the price should stay up all the way to DFS and the re-rate. I’m invested in another company which is going to development and people just lost interest without drilling but I don’t see any issues hear. :)

Yea you right ice, newcrest certainly won’t be selling at the current share price (if at all) but that’s going to change pretty soon.

They can’t extend the standstill unless it’s a new agreement for shares from SOLG. If they buy newcrest shares which might be what newcrest employed the bank to look into, even though they aren’t supposed to make deals until the standstill ends I think they will just deny it but if agreements are made things could move very quickly. Then they can buy CGP and launch the SOLG takeover that way. Any restrictions weighing down CGP won’t matter if they buy SOLG anyway. I don’t want a takeover but I think it will happen looking at the news.

Yea your right, just pointing out that I think any inaccuracy in the DFS is more likely to end up with more of a resource rather than less. Only time I have seen less is with geotechnical instability making areas un-minable but they check this during the feasibility studies.

Most of the mining companies I have looked at they always find ways of extending the mine life and resources to years beyond the original DFS. They can do extra drilling once the shafts etc are in place. Id be more interested to know what percentage ends up as more or less of the defined resource. I think any inaccuracy is usually just down to conservative estimates/calculations. So if it’s bought out the actual amount mined could and I think usually is much more than paid for hence why I vote for production.

Warren could you please explain what you think is happening? To me it looks like they are releasing news to defend against a takeover but you’ve said you think a JV and I didn’t really understand your other post either. If the information is already in the public domain then why don’t you just say. Not complaining just genuinely interested to know what you think. I don’t think Information on other prospects wouldn’t get them a better deal on a JV. I didn’t want a takeover but that’s just what the information suggests to me.

First sign of a BHP takeover will be them buying newcrests lot which could take a little while to finalise. Newcrest won’t sell until they’ve made a nice profit so need to see the share price come PFS, but yea don’t expect takeover on the 15th exactly.

The city bank defence plus nick not answering questions on unofficial offers. I wonder what nick thinks, I don’t think all the news around this time is just coincidence. BHP will have likely made an unconditional offer which was probably a low ball. I personally think they won’t make an official offer on that date but bear in mind the share price is still very low, I think it will come down to the share price on the 15th so I’m not sure anyone could say for sure.

I I took the re-rate mentioned come PFS in the webinars to mean multi-bag and I still think that, even if it is on the back of other news. ;)

We should see new highs soon with the PFS and other news breaking the previous range. I will only accept an offer if approved by nick and the board but I think they know production is best value for money especially when two sites are on the go and they save on the 3b on infrastructure with near surface resources that’s where the real money is. I’ve noticed shares like this focus on the initial discovery and additional finds don’t increase the share price like they should. They could rival majors in the future and I think it could be taken out over the odds for that reason.

I invested thinking they’d be bought out and id make a make a nice quick return. Thinking about it I wouldn’t be able to find a better investment than them taking it to production to put the money in anyway so I really think that is the best option.

The amount of resource found for the price spent is unbelievable and they will likely only improve on that so I don’t even care if we do get dilution because they will spend it wisely. Plus when the mine is up and running they can use it for other nearby sites and maybe sell other ones which will be proved up by then further away maybe to pay of debt funding faster reducing costs and turning profits quicker.

Yes the potential is huge. Thats good to know I thought people were de-ramping thinking they’d get in at a cheaper price. Even when that guy was trying to sell lessons in chart reading saying it indicated downtrend looking at the potential just didn’t make sense. Now we have the potential, an uptrend emerging and the great news we all know is coming on PFS and other prospects. :)

I am fairly certain there are offers for solgold. He refused to answer questions in a webinar about if there had already been offers. If BHP had already made an offer he could not announce it publicly because they would deny it without a formal offer due to the fact it would push the share price up before the formal offer which any buyer wouldn’t want. Hence why I think he keeps hinting BHP would keep quiet if they intended to bid. While everyone on hear was complaining about the webinars I have been listening closely and adding to my holding. Potentially 6x+Larger prospects would equal 100oz+ free to mine gold purely based on the copper which they will also make significant amounts off. Can you blame him for wanting to take it to production based on the current share price? I say go for it if there isn’t a reasonable offer because the share price will be better than a lot of people said they’d accept for a takeover anyway.

I don’t think newcrest are looking to sell as explained by NM it would be highly unusual for someone to announce that before selling and actually more likely to buy. I think BHP have already made unofficial offers which is why NM answered the way he did in the recent webinar. I reckon they’ve told him they will deny it if he makes the unofficial offers public hence why he responded as he did.

I wouldn’t be surprised if cornerstone end up making a public apology. He defended his actions very well during the webinar. There’s a lot of hate towards NM even tho he’s doing a great job, it just makes me think we are getting closer to a takeover. I do wonder if he has withheld information though. There doesn’t seem to have been any rise in the broker views for some time which doesn’t really represent how far the company has come since first issue.
