It could just be that the other interested parties wanted the whole company so they accepted the placement from AE with the hope of progressing the asset sale which would keep the management in jobs and would have been the best option for us as well.. had it worked out of course.

Sorry for the long posting but it may explain why the asiamet management trust them when the private investors don’t. I honestly think that that the western world is more corrupted than Asia so don’t believe everything you read in the news especially if it’s posted by a western news provider which will always side with BP.

Perhaps BP thought they could get away with screwing over the little guy not realising the deal was financed by large Asian banks. BP have told there staff to stop using Asian based communication providers. This suggests they could have found something on the Asian servers which BP wanted to delete, like a purchase agreement maybe? Looking at the information available I think auternum will win the case.

I can also see why BP would deny purchase agreements after the crash in oil prices. Could just be a case of a bigger company doing what it likes at the expense of a smaller company which does happen all to often. If they are innocent then they will win a fair bit of money for the fraud allegations.

Not trying to defend AE but it’s possible they didn’t have the money because of legal costs. If they had an ongoing court case it might also explain why they couldn’t provide an explanation until the case has been resolved. The fact that BP have now fired people in relation to the incident does suggest they could have had the purchase orders they were accused of falsifying. Again not trying to defend them just thinking of the possibility’s. Obviously if they do win the case they would get the legal costs back plus extra which could be used to try and mend the deal. With a higher advanced payment of course which will be required if they want to re-negotiate.

I just don’t see anything happening until the improved recovery is known. They have been drilling all of last year and won’t want to make a deal until the NPV is increased. This should be coming soon. Might even be what AE wanted to delay payment for. Will either be a buyout or a private placing after that but the increase NPV will offset the low prices the scaremongers are talking about.

My thinking was that AE wouldn’t try anything dodgy while they where under investigation for issues relating to there oil dealings and that the deal would go ahead. Still no indication anything dodgy has happened but it does seem suspicious. Still undervalued as it is though and if there was interest just after the deal fell through as they say then it would have been at a much higher price than today’s. We could still see a quick turn around with a buyer. Any buyer would want to buy AE’s 20% so I don’t see them slowly selling especially at this price. This is assuming management are not telling lies but I don’t think they are as I can certainly see why buyers would be interested.

To put it simply, they just wouldn’t do it if it wasn’t going to increase the NPV by a reasonable amount. People are just making negatives out of positive news.

They won’t re-do everything, they will just tweak it. The share price is doing pretty good today considering the market and suggests it must have bottomed. Any placing will likely come after news on the improved recovery so anyone waiting to get in cheaper might be disappointed. Also it will probably be a private placement to keep AE out. If it comes from a miner/potential bidder then this should fly. It was undervalued before the deal and its undervalued now regardless of any deal, even at its high it still wasn’t overvalued.

I know for a fact that similar companies are receiving a lot of offers right now and they aren't even at the same stage. It’s got the DFS and it’s independently valued and ready to go. Sure companies could wait to try and take it out cheaper but it would be negligible compared to what t it will make in production and they will want 100% to get it on the road quickly rather than build a stake.

The lower it goes the more of a takeover target this becomes. Even if it doesn’t bounce soon it will one day re-rate out of the blue on takeover news and erase everyone’s losses. Improved recovery rates coming soon which should push up the NPV.

Still more buys than sells. Don’t be fooled by the current share price and posts on hear. People are still confident they just don’t spend as much time posting about it as those who are negative.

At least other companies know we are willing to sell and we will likely get a few other offers considering how many companies are looking to buy at the moment. I expect it probably won’t be as good a deal but even a low offer of 100-150m for the whole company is still a nice profit especially with the current market cap.

We know mount, we are invested for the assets which are undervalued based on NAV. The share price would be around this price (possibly more) even if there wasn’t the deal, it’s just bonus if it comes good.

Your just trying to get in cheaper but it makes no difference to the share price. If you look at the buys vs sells people have bought more before, during and after the share price drop so it makes no difference and you’d be better off doing a few extra hours at work and paying a higher share price than trying to make money this way.

Don’t need a leak, there will be news soon. If it was you you’d schedule the meeting for as soon as possible. Good or bad on the deal this company will do well either way but good potential for a quick big rise in share price but the long term looks good as well.

Could be resolved quicker than we think. The meeting will be scheduled for sooner rather than later and RNS could be any time. More buys than sells again today and share price gone down again. Makes it look like everyone is selling when in fact that’s not the case.

Same as yesterday, more bought than sold (nearly double). Don’t be fooled by the share price movement they just want you to sell out. It has to go up.

The information I have says they are asiamets largest shareholder and I can’t see any sells. Are you able to confirm?

WHo knows, all I know is there’s been DFS and a load of other fantastic news since they bought in at a higher share price. The deal would be nice but it’s not essential it might just take a little longer to see massive gains but if it doesn’t go through other companies will know we are willing to sell and will likely make offers.
