Bamb, you forget that the company was plagued with administrative issues that were beyond their control, the prospectus was initially delayed due to FCA staffing issues, further delayed when another individual at the FCA decided they wanted additional information that the first FCA person didn't ask for, there was also a requirement to have audited accounts of the Northstar Group that were in an acceptable format for the FCA, all of this was completed as quickly as possible and then our then broker (Pello) had some quite severe restrictions imposed on them which meant that Gobind was unable to release anything other than an RNS that was an FCA requirement i.e. the prospectus. The company has since obtained the services of a new corporate Broker and (according to todays RNS) WILL be releasing additional news before the end of the month. I would take Gobind at his word on this one, prior to today his hands were tied. I'm sure Mark Ward and other large shareholders have spent time venting about the lack of communications and given the news that Mark Ward is on board to, amongst other things, improve communication and given that the company have also taken on the services of Msrk Treharne for investor relations, I believe that things have changed and the company will continue to provide a regular newsflow

Will be nice to see if true and will take another million out of the available free float. However what is now needed is for Gobind to provide shareholders and the market in general a proper update. The fund performance RNS was nice but not unexpected given that the market was already aware of this information a few days prior, but now is the time for an update with some meat on the bones. He has alluded to such in the last RNS and I'm personally looking forward to it, should hopefully put an end to these pesky sellers and provide a new investor base.

I reached out to Gobind today, didn't manage to speak with him but I've left a message and hopefully I will be able to speak with him sometime this week. I also reached out to Arden and had a chat with someone there who deals with the ALGW account and by all accounts things are about to change, especially from a PR perspective. Reading between the lines I think that something will be released this week and it will be good. Positive vibes from the conversation so I'm very happy with my investment and added another £7k on the back of that conversation. Market turmoil means people looking at alternatives such as ALGW which theoretically protect them from such volatility. Lots of money out there looking for returns in uncertain times so maybe, just maybe ALGW is in the right market at the right time. If what I've been hearing about the fund performance is correct then it's certainly something I would want to invest in if I had the kind of money the target investors have. The company will be winning more Barclays awards if what I've heard is correct and the number I've heard is greater than 17!!!

I'm at a loose end right now, post the links. Would be nice to see what Gobind gets up to when he's not devoting his time to the company, after all he like everyone is entitled to some family time and to get away from the routine. Given it was his 60th birthday last month might be nice to see what his cake looked like as well.

£27k is certainly a confident purchase. I know many on here have said Gobind is very tight lipped when it comes to revealing anything. I wonder if perhaps someone at the new broker has gotten hold of something? There's been virtually no interest for a while now all of a sudden someone buys over a million. Could be a good week ahead

Let's put this confusion to bed shall we (assuming it is genuine confusion and not trolling).
The placing was completed in February to allow the company to acquire 95% of Northstar. Participants in the placing received shares at a price of 2p and equivalent warrants at a price of 3p.
The shares were credited to accounts and tradeable from 15th March ( I refer you to the 3 TR1 RNS released on 16th March 2021 which show the new enlarged shares in issue following the placing) in order to receive warrants a prospectus was required to be published. This prospectus was approved by the FCA on 15th December and announces by the company today. It's an administrative exercise which has unfortunately taken a lot longer than usual. Now it's done participants will receive their warrants and can exercise those warrants at a price of 3p thereby providing additional funds for ALGW (a main market listed company) to use for the future benefit of shareholders

That's right Daisy he has added circa 9 million shares since his previous notification. Obviously confident in his investment

Potter, at what point did Raaydaar say there would be news in 48 hours, he expressed an opinion. He doesnt know what Gobinds timescales are he merely offered an opinion based on what he thought might happen.
Nobody should take what is written on here by anyone as gospel. Like I said before it's great to have raaydaar here sharing his thoughts as he is in contact with Honind, but I'm sure Gobind wont tell him anything price sensitive and he is forming an opinion based on conversations he has had. The update / broker / prospectus will come when they come. Until they do you have 3 choices, buy (more), hold or sell. I added 190k more today as I, like raaydaar and others here believe news is just around the corner and I felt it worth making a smallish additional purchase for the trade on the rise

I think the company is on the cusp of a very news rich period. As has been pointed out, Pello weren't listed on the last rns which makes me think that we will be getting a new broker, and personally think it's about time, Pello have a history and I for one am glad that we are moving on, hopefully the new broker will be a little more prestigious in terms of reputation. That news alone will be a big positive and remove some of the doubts that are being cast by the likes of Winnifrith. After that we await the long overdue prospectus. I can only assume the delay is because Gobind wants to release it with the new broker name attached or the FCA are not playing ball. Then theres the small matter of the update. I have to say I am rather disappointed that it's now 6 weeks beyond when we should have heard something and that is a concern and possibly why we are seeing these largish sells as confidence is eroded. There has to be a good reason not to have released an update, perhaps they are on the brink of completing the RCF and want to wait until that's done or just something else noteworthy that will be worth waiting for. Either way the update needs to come soon otherwise investor confidence will be gone. As it stands at the moment the share likely to be a traders paradise, decent gains on news etc etc. I think we will stay in the 3 to 4p range for a while longer maybe up to 5p until we get a new investor base then can move higher. Think the company have shot themselves in the foot a little with the delays but I guess a lot of it was out of their hands, the quarterly update was not and that is imho unforgivable given how easy it is to write about the last quarter. In light of this delay, if they havent got anything massive to say in the update then I'm out, it will be time to move on. Gobind has had his chance and if he fails to deliver on this delayed update then I dont think I cam trust him to deliver any more. Despite what I've said I remain positive on my investment here and believe that they will deliver but for me it's this update that's crucial to the future of my holding here.

Davwal, I would suggest to you that the laid back investors have perhaps taken the time to contact the company, have a chat with Gobind and ask him those awkward questions and having been given the answers in that difficult conversation are satisfied with their investment and can therefore be laid back about it.

I'm with Raay on this, we will get the update when Gobind is ready. As frustrating as it is to not have news at the start of the new quarter I would much prefer to wait a while, if indeed he is hoping to get something out before the update. If we had the update 2 weeks ago what were you expecting it to say? I would expect nothing more that additional AUM (I would like to see at least another $10 million) other than that it would be the same old we are waiting and doing what we can but it's all in the hands of other people right now.
Patience is key and getting wound up because the update hasnt been released is pointless. The value of anyones investment is all relative Bamb, some people have a lot invested here what's "a lot" surely its relative to what you can afford. Mark Ward, Giles, Mr Alder and the other guy who has the TR1 (his name escapes me) have invested a lot more than you or I, they're not on here comolaing or moaning about a lack of update, they're clearly not selling either so they must be confident in their investment decisions. I'm happy if I wasnt I would have sold no point in raising the blood pressure by getting angry or frustrated

Thank you all for your kind welcome. I'm not used to commenting on these boards, very much an observer but for what it's worth I'll make the following observations:
1. The market makers don't have enough stock, the fact I could sell just over 2 million the other day shows they want some. That said, today I couldn't get a quote for more than 550k so maybe their sources are suggesting no news tomorrow.
2. The MMs tried to keep the SP down today with the sells at 3.3, looked like a vain attempt to encourage sellers due to 1 above
3. The buying late in the day is interesting clearly not traders as they would be buying early doors and looking to sell into a rise later in the day.
4. The whole game changes again on news which in all honesty can't be too far away. If not tomorrow, next week or the week after I'm happy to wait.
When the news does get released then it's back to 8p in short order (if you'll permit my use of a military phrase) and beyond

Good Evening SecretBluePrint, opened my first ISA back in 1999 when they replaced the old PEPS which I had started investing into when I got my commission in 1992. Don't think I ever stated I built up my pot over a couple of years only that I had accrued my holding in ALGW over a couple of years.

Been invested here a couple of years now holding just over 3.5 million in my ISA. Never felt the urge to post on the boards, always been more of an observer just taking in all the various opinions and using the snippets of information to further my knowledge on a company. Decided to post as there seems to be a lot of negativity from some who have invested heavily here and it confused me so I thought I would try and bring some positivity to the chat. I'm super excited about this company I would like to buy more but my investment strategy wont allow it and I'm extremely disciplined when it comes to my investments.

Patience is all that is required. The move today on such low volume is indicative of what's to come when GS finally releases news. Get the prospectus published and it's clear skies. Plenty more to come after the prospectus and I would hope that GS has things lined up to release before the next quarterly update, which i suspect have been on hold until the publication of the prospectus. Any decent buying pressure will see a rapid move upwards. The MMs dont hold too much stock atm and were willing to take 2.2 million on Monday, but they weren't getting them at the low low price they were offering, they picked up a few from bored sellers but not enough to control a quick move up when the news does come. Last few weeks of September and Q4 should be transformational for the company and more importantly those of us that have ridden the rough seas over the past few years. The land of riches is on the horizon, just need the right winds to get us there
