The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Thanks as ever, Fjetcrazy
Ah ha!! There's my sign back! I like to use the "dash" sign (or what is typographically termed an en dash [half the width of an em dash!]) instead of a hyphen (when used to provide a pause in a sentence). I am reminded below that that gets corrupted too. I believe that has happened when using it in an email Subject line too. Again, from force of habit, I'm bound to use that again before long.
Just remembered this morning that I had been thinking that with others also having these problems, it might be down to a system glitch at LSE's end. So when they suddenly ceased in my posts I concluded that must've been the case. Obviously it wasn't. Even worse was the regular appearance of this pair "1" either side of a quote which was how the double quotation marks appeared as in "
Fjetcrazy [21:04]: I wish I had the full answer. I had the same problem for several days and resolved it temporarily with a compromise: using the grave accent ` which appeared without corruption. Though it was hard to remember to use it when an apostrophe was required after decades of correct usage. It just required careful proof-reading every post before submitting it. What I can't explain is what I did, if anything, or what eventually caused things to right themselves, that now I don't have to worry about it. Hope I'm not tempting fate by writing that! (I also use a Mac btw, FWIW.]
(Fjetcrazy: Since your last post appeared within a minute of mine, just to say that I was referring to your informative post of 15:37.)
Thank you as ever, Fjetcrazy; what would we [I] do without you! (This response delayed by The Post. (Not the Mail, the movie!)
fatherelmer [21:51]: Ever the optimist, eh!
At last! Let's hope it proves a positive for fastjet as has been anticipated by many of us waiting in the dark so long for this to come to fruition. But several months still before we'll know.
And the connection with fastjet is?
A very Happy New Year to all of you. May it turn out at last to be a really good one for fastjet – and us – too.
You seem to be just as sensitive Fjetcrazy, (no exclamation mark, then). Anyway, someone's upticked my post. :-)
.....or in English!!..... "For this reason fastjet will now be able to reside in such as Mtwara, Kigoma, Tabora, Arusha and elsewhere where ATR72 can safely stay."
Don’t international rules protect trademarks? According to my research, though far from exhaustive, both copyright and trademarks offer intellectual property protection, though different types of assets. Trademarks project logos or any “items that help to define a company brand.” Australian company, Fastjet Adventure Flights, have been operating for almost 10 years. So, erm, maybe I’d better keep schtum since we were only founded in 2011!! http://www.westernadvocate.com.au/story/5143456/approval-for-joy-flights-over-bathurst-in-old-chinese-warbird/ and https://www.fastjet.com.au
...to all my friends and/or investors here over more than five years now of watching and waiting. And waiting. And waiting....l! I hope you'll all have already been enjoying early Christmas festivities (which is why I'm posting so late but just past into Christmas Day itself. So...... A very Merry Christmas to you all and for the third time at least, every good wish for a Prosperous New Year, aided largely by seeing the beginnings of a return on our almost-vanished investments in fastjet. Festive greetings too to all our wonderful crews, management and staff and for greater success in 2018. Thank you all for your efforts throughout 2017.
Thanks PJMI, I did wonder if that might be the case. Even so, it`s still only 14 days before the flight dates so they still can`t be booked 21 days in advance!
Announced today, according to today’s Zimbabwe`s The Herald: ``...Fastjet will introduce additional flights on the Harare-Victoria Falls route in response to demand during the festive season. The airline will offer two daily return flights on the route on December 26 and 27.`` The article ends, pointing out: ``Fastjet requires customers to book 21 days in advance.``!! I`m sure Fj will know if these extra flights were actually available 2-3 weeks ago?
“In Africa, you don’t have a massive middle class market. You have the haves and the have nots. It is also true that rich people remain rich because they know how to get a good deal.....if I can give them what they want at the front end of this aircraft.....we are likely to become a more credible trade partner to travel agents.....” – Nico Bezuidenhout, TIR Southern Africa, December 2017 issue. This penultimate paragraph in the interview with him seems to have a most surprising hint that our aircraft could become two class but with such modest load capacities, maybe just passengers perceived as “the haves” will be assured of a seat up-front and a fuss made of them with free top-up drinks and even a selection of edibles? I’m just guessing but sounds like some distinction will be made between those who have and those who don’t have?
Keep it coming, Fj! A new week starting.....
You ARE kidding?? Where did you hear that from? Let me know it's location and Opening Day!
Wow! What amazing pictures. Of course, it IS sad to see our faithful old aircraft, wingless and helpless, like a Gulliverian giant, on its way to who-knows-what-fate. But does it really have to make the whole journey via small villages? Aren't there enough major highways in that part of France for a more sedate final journey?
