No, B787. Had I known, I would have gladly revealed it. But on the basis that the AGM has been held in late June in the last three years, I considered that to be upcoming!
Wouldnt you think such news was just about big enough to push the share price up a tad? I suppose even if it was, the market-makers need the `pudding` to supply the `proof` they inevitably demand. And understandably so. In the meantime, I look forward to such proof being provided by the `growth in connecting...traffic volumes` expected by Nico and perhaps even hearing of it from the horses mouth himself at the upcoming AGM.
Yeah right! :-) Seriously, since you bring it up, I think you might agree that the 'standard' of the average post is well below what you and I "grew up" with. There's quite a bit of 'off-topic' (rarely marked up as such) chat and a noticeable amount of sarcasm if not the sort of abuse we got used to in the distant past. I think with Steve Gurr, along with his mate, successfully banned for life after appearing under his fifth incarnation, many others post more carefully now to avoid a similar fate. The monitors silent presence has proved influential. Why, even nuri123a made a rare appearance earlier this month after a 9-month absence. Followed by a couple of lingering if mild derampers. And an un-identified "Mr Stalwart even gets a mention. I wonder who on earth that could be?! Remember when there were about 180+ of them? Sadly, it has not been enough to encourage so many of those who made such useful contributions whether negative or positive, clearly genuine to bother returning. Of course, the Boards content will soar in its level of sensible and impartial opinion once we see the long-longed-for rise in its fleet, frequencies and, essentially, SP value. Meanwhile, as usual, Marksman still seems unable to post in two paragraphs when six will do!!
But it's not even the fastjet livery! Not like you, Fjetcrazy!
Yes, you told us that eight hours earlier.
It is indeed (looking splendid). Thanks for the link. Some very impressive design work IMO. I'll look at it in greater detail later when I have more time.
Thanks Fjetcrazy. As I think I said before, always good to see pictorial evidence of such local and traditional billboard publicity. Have a good weekend.
While no guarantee, a new regime must be a positive and hopeful development for the reasons you suggest, G-BOAE.
Thanks Johnbri4. Such graphic observations can be of such interest to we UK-bound investors.
Im reasonably happy to see the share price back to exactly what my average purchase price was since buying last August and subsequent top-ups, especially since it was a tip in the first place.
Yes, thanks as ever Fjetcrazy.
Fjetcrazy: Well, apart from Politeness being my middle name, if I was anything less, my post might be reported!
I know news of this new award has already been posted last week. But I`m adding this latest - from the ``oldest newspaper publisher`` in Zimbabwe because of its lovely headline! http://www.chronicle.co.zw/fastjet-named-africas-best/ It`s also good to have evidence that our PR dept is doing a good job publicising the company and such headline-grabbing news might grab the attention of so many of our potential passengers. One day soon, maybe, we can hope that we might also see some effect on our dismal, languishing share price.
Thats excellent news, while agreeing with B787s point, too. Maybe Nicos quote in traveller24 will also compensate a little pro tem. I thought your heading was going to refer to that photo of the three grounded aircraft though, that taskmaster posted last week, fjetcrazy!
I'm also amongst those so pleased to see this rise, being only 5p away from my average at this moment.
I would like to think so too, PJMI but my point remains that he`s been in the job now for 18 months, long enough I`d have thought for us to see some results of his `feverish activity` by now! It seems you`ve changed your mind since yesterday afternoon about the new government`s likely behaviour, under their new President, of sabotaging fastjet`s operations rather than seeing the South African Base Deal come to fruition. Let`s hope you`re now wrong on that.
Isnt that maddening, fatherelmer. Nico and the new team is not really showing much sign of positive development is he, after over 18 months in his role? Hopefully lots in the pipeline behind the scenes, to give him the benefit of the doubt? If only we private investors were kept more informed. But as you said yourself on Wednesday, perhaps there is nothing worth reporting. All very worrying really.
I do, and did, agree, fatherelmer. I was just making a point - again! [i posted this reply last night but I see it didnt transmit. Maybe a glitch in the hotels wifi.]
🙂 was an emoji which I shouldve known wouldnt appear in its graphic form.
Hi Fjetcrazy: Sounds encouraging. Ill check it out when Im back home later tomorrow. Have been up to see old friends in Colchester today and decided to stay overnight in a hotel rather than face the long drive back well tanked up! Free Wi-fi here so, of course, I had to check the forum out. No surprise to find your sole post displayed! 🙂 Getting a bit fed up with seeing the SP languishing for so long below 20p still.
