The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Great news for a change, Fjetcrazy. I was just about to check out our Facebook page for myself to see if things had improved since you last brought our attention to it with its such dismal posts. Hopefully that, and especially Thursday`s addition, will herald much brighter news all round this month.
PJMInvest: Quite apart from being a lovely find, but with a unique and unusual photo of our latest fleet addition. Makes a nice change from the routine exterior shots of the 319s on a runway or in flight.
It`s easy enough to find, IMO, but it`s far too small now to the point where the text falls below full resolution levels and becomes largely illegible. Largely poor design as you could increase the whole map by a full third to occupy the wasted space above, moving the `flying plane` to the left (into the open space where the Dem Rep of the Congo should be) without even increasing the existing size of the orange panel. Removing the (for now) empty Uganda and Kenya outlines would also help. Or, just simply make the map bigger.
Colin: I don`t wish to pre-empt Hein`s further response to your complaint nor doubt his sincerity. But I am reminded of his advice to me that they were `in the process of migrating systems` when I wrote to complain about the obsolete info on our Home Page nearly two months ago. The wheels seem to be turning, but very slowly. Im pleased I posted the pair of email contact addresses, giving you someone to make direct contact with. Anyone else wishing to follow your example can find them by scrolling back 3 pages to my post of last Thursday at 15:14.
Last minute stragglers, got up late, Fj -- I hope.
See Fjetcrazy's post of Wednesday at 07:50.
Good to know youre still around from the occasional post G-BOAE. I so agree with your observation about the new website. It has to be up amongst the worst Ive ever encountered and as Im so heavily invested, so very disappointing, not to say embarrassing and totally wrong for our targeted market. Anyone who shares our views might like to make their feelings known to our Customer Service contact, askus@mindpearl.com or our General Manager of Marketing and Communications, Hein Kaiser at Hein.Kaiser@fastjet.com - or both. Sadly, I omitted to obtain Nico`s address when I had the chance at the AGM. I doubt if he finds enough time to check out this forum as he told me he did.
I tried to paste in below a copy of the symbol showing a question-mark in white out of a black diamond but its showing here as .
OFF-TOPIC: Fjetcrazy: I notice youre suffering the same keyboard input corruption as I am: all apostrophes and quotation-marks are converted to pound signs or this symbol . I had assumed it was a Mac thing but I doubt youre a Mac-man too? Its also a fairly recent problem. Any ideas for the cause?
Even the in-flight magazine, Places, is making serious errors (allegedly): Do advise your editorial staff to proof read their articles for your in-flight magazine before sending them out to print. Your November issue has an article on the Victoria Falls and the featured image? Niagara falls. A shocking oversight to say the least. - 22 Oct 17
:-( Thanks Fjetcrazy. But surely at this late stage, they know WHICH of those two days?
Morning Fjetcrazy. Ah, thanks for that. VERY useful and informative contact then.
Excellent confirmation, Fjetcrazy. I trust you reward your 'little bird' regularly! Or 'birds' even?
Sorry Fj, I couldnt have known you had so many! I would never suggest you ever had any reason to make the situation appear worse than what it is. Why would you? OTOH, youd have clarified it all by actually saying you had over a dozen examples, without posting them all. I am the first to acknowledge that you provide a splendid service to us all here; I often wonder where on earth you find all the stuff you do post! While the info you turn up is very informative, it is also immensely depressing when it shows such a negative side of the company still. But as I said below, hopefully we may really have turned the corner this time next week when we actually see additions to our, erm, fleet. Weve been there before I know but Under MisManagement!
These are indeed shocking stuff to read, Fjetcrazy. But you do make it appear far worse by posting the same complaint twice!!! Hopefully, this time next week we can look forward to the restarting of the compliments we got so use to.....for a time! Have a good weekend.
Blimey!! That is just unbelievably scary that were actually flying on such a tyre. Isnt that surely way beyond legal safety limits?
...Fastjet Zimbabwe an airline which flies when they say they do will be watching closely what next step the regulators will take and so will this correspondent... How heartwarming to read that from Wolfgang, IMO an enduring fan! In the context of comparison with the floundering FlyAfrica, I have to suggest again that it is imperative that fastjet makes every effort to maintain whatever reputation we still have (no cynicism intended), especially for reliability as a top priority (safety and maintenance are givens I am sure.) It is rewarding to be fairly confident that potential passengers already trust us to know that our schedules can be relied upon. Increasing the fleet early next month cant arrive soon enough and should only reinforce such trust.
JT16: My sole aim was simply to report it. Any more dramatic effect normally requires direct contact with the monitors! Yes, true, my brief post was also reported and pulled though I really am not quite sure why. But what you may not have noticed or were just disinterested in is that my post prompted a return of another who always has it in for me and is prone to gross exaggeration: YorkshireBloke34. I reported that and that was also pulled pretty sharpish too. His lie this time was to state that if I dont like anything that someone says, I report them, which is just untrue nonsense. I genuinely am happy to accept any view expressed here whether they agree with my views of not, provided theyre reasonably civil. YB34 cant resist adding a peurile insult! I am well aware that my usually optimistic outlook for the company can be seen by many as quite unrealistic! But having been invested quite heavily here for so long, Im prepared to see it out, especially with Nicos promising team now in control.

Hurray! The Cancellations and Delays information panel has been updated at last. And No disruptions at the moment. Six months since it was last changed.
