That's right its not repeatable, its more like chaos theory to be honest

All the technical indicators point to this turning but as always its so volatile due to day trading, oil blah blah

BUT Im a bit confused as to why four companies increased their shorts this month, 3 of which were on the 20th and 21st

Even I got in and out today for a cheeky 3%..I am however waiting to buy and hold but not until things stabilise. The question is when will that be...if whenever??

Definitely..very disappointing that none of the FTSE indices could stage some sort of maintained comeback on the back of yesterdays going on (Oil, DOW, SP, Nas)

Seems like the Brexit sentiment will just keep dragging everything down. Its really put a block on foreign investment into our markets

Oil still rubbish but shorts reducing so will start to get very interesting soon me thinks!

IMHO absolute bargain at this price... crazy market at the minute (Brexit, Trump etc etc) but even medium term this will recover

Whilst there's no doubt an element of that, analysts calculate share prices against future (and current) fundamentals and there's a heck of a lot of research and calculations go into it, so I wouldn't be quite so dismissive

IMHO The issue is for me is more that the markets value is often irrational and factors in intangibles such as fear , greed, speculation etc

To be fair to Numis they have added on capital expenditure to the $600m debt (when it was lower not higher) and couldnt have take off the sale of the oil field until it happened hence $675m

This is why its an analyst not an actual, at best they can only be estimates, sometimes close sometimes not. Still at least its good news for PFC and starting to look much healthier in terms of debt

I'd be careful with that as Oil looks to be bottoming (famous last words!)..IMHO if this closes again over 465 we could be reversing especially if the FED holds the rate

I did but the question still stands why pick an AIM 100 Russian mining company as a comparison. There are many better examples in closer proximity?

I think this is doing well especially given the backdrop of the oil price

Why would compare /mention a Russian mining company who have for the first time ever just declared a 5p special dividend to BDEV?

I am missing something?

DT IMHO the way things are going with almost all stocks is that I expect them to hit there 52 week low until Brexit is sorted (regardless of where or not Brexit affects them!)

If buybacks ever happen at the earliest I would imagine it will be last quarter of next year

The more I think about it the more I like the idea of share buybacks to be honest. If there's a sudden constant influx of £175m of buys over a period of 3 months, combined with the external buyers that momentum carry's we could easily see a 50%+ lift from these figures over that period..anyway I work it out it vastly outways the 3.7% special divi and that yield is at 468!

re WG looking at the constant all day barrage of small sells (sub 100 shares) probably from AKO, AQR , Marshall Wallace combined driving the price down..I would guess they are looking to reduce their short positions asap before a justified uptrend not only on stellar results but a five year contract worth 1100 jobs (if i read it quickly correctly!)

Yea I pulled those from StockO but they tie in very closely with the Infront system as well which makes me think they are at least semi accurate? I dont really use the TTM, not sure you can get that right even with a Bloomberg terminal!

Lets put it this way the longer you can hold (post Brexit no matter what outcome) the better it will get IMHO

Which wont be sorted until after the Jan 21 deadline for the Brexit deal to be agreed!!
