My point is: if SEE is in negotiations for a sale, as hinted at publicly and on this BB, then failure to disclose that would leave them and their Nomad on very dodgy ground. It isn't that difficult to tell the difference between a firm offer and a speculative approach when you are an insider.

If they're not in discussions and the price rises a fair bit, then a denial along the lines of "We know of no reason for the price rise"...might be the right and proper thing to do.

I don't personally have a great deal of faith in the integrity of many in financial community to act within the law if they smell a profit. Just looking at all the fines meted out to banks, brokers and advisors over the past few years (few of whom saw jail time).

I can't see anyone but Ken Kroeger leading takeover talks. He knows the business best and is extremely talented - it has been his strategy that has led to its creating multi-billion dollar markets. If they decide not to sell that's also fine but I want more effort put into pushing the share price to where we all know it should be.

Certainly, given the speculation, isn't there a very strong case for SEE stating whether or not they are in negotiations for a possible sale. That would put any rumours to bed.

While I really do appreciate Beef's feedback. The biggest issue I have is that as a shareholder I'd prefer to hear direct from management rather than via individual shareholders what is going on. The lack of coverage from Canaccord Genuity is also a shame and can't be incidental. A house broker should be free to issue broker upgrades. We're not in the USSR are we?

This may put in an Nvidious position but my Intel tells me SEE is worth a lot more than £1 as a strategic acquisition. I don't have the Qualcomifications to know but there are some out there who do.

Canaccord Genuity has reiterated its 21p price target today. (Of course it has, it is the house broker, duh! Really should have upgraded for OEM wins though...lol...Still, it does state:

"The pace of DMS adoption by global Automotive OEMs and Tier 1s is accelerating and Seeing
Machines has scope to be a major winner as its best-of-breed solutions gain traction. We
anticipate continuing positive news flow in this calendar year".

Hope all is well with you. Actually, I'm feeling bit tired but pretty relaxed...for me..lol. Just wanted to share a thought as I've been doing some reading. Price is drifting, sure. Still, we know that the share price hasn't captured the value here: not by a long, long way.

If I hear another discussion giving credence to the BS price targets for SEE, I will scream...lol. Okay, it's okay for newbie investors to do so but anyone who has been investing for a decade knows that sell-side analysts' price targets are BS. It is certainly quite feasible that SEE gets a lowball offer of around 25p-30p that suits the requirements of the BOD. Some short term investors would jump at it, most certainly. However, I'd be surprised if all the institutional investors would necessarily do so. Some will surely see the value here (they must speak to Lorne Daniel, for example and will also have their own in-house analysts who are free to provide realistic estimates of Seeing Machines' strategic value) and might well anticipate/encourage more realistic bids from other parties. Moreover, SEE has a global profile as the world's leading DMS supplier and I'd be shocked if there was only one bidder in an open and transparent process.

I don't think so. I think the purpose of the note is to provide some intellectual justification for a likely takeover price (which is truth is lower than its intrinsic worth). To include a proper valuation for fleet and even mention rail, aviation and caterpillar in detail would be to admit that a price target of 19p is absurd. None of the brokers seriously think SEE is worth less than 50p (some a lot more) -- all this price target malarky is a game they play. More important than their BS price targets is what the auto industry players thinks SEE is worth as a strategic asset.
