Brazil launches US$40mn fund to support innovations in mining

The Brazilian government has launched an initiative to invest up to 200 million reais (US$40mn) in innovative projects in mining.

The funds will be transferred through a fund called Finep Mais Inovação Brasil, launched by the science, technology and innov

I've been watching this for a month or so and bought in twice last week, now got a decent holding in my Sipp and ISA ... certainly has plenty of potential with the recent results and if the next ones are anything like predicted could get very interesting here indeed.

Cross, I appreciate what you are saying - however the same has applied in Africa, Australia and all over the world for centuries. There is a limit to how much you can push down your knickers before you go home. Also with the number of shares that the BOD hold and that they too are 'local' would say they are not naive foreigners - they will know how to deal with the 'locals' of which there is good and bad the world over.

Magpie, I am referring to a grant for Tanzania.

So who is the most likely farm out for a resource of this size? The Americans are keen to keep China out of commodity supply chain although geographically the Chinese are best placed.

However I found it interesting that America has just announced a grant to Ree who are very near HE1 and would use the same port for shipping.

The Galactica project has shown proof of concept, is there going to be an American grant to help get this stuff out of the ground?

I am not convinced. I am wondering if Galactica was to prove the concept and Americans giving a grant for Tanzania?

Another thought - being as HE1 as a foothold in the States are they being awarded a grant from Americans billion dollar fund for Tanzania just as a few others have recently announced? Something is going on.

My hunch since the initial discovery 2 yrs ago was that the Chinese would JV or buy out entirely the Tanzania prospect. The Chinese are geographically located to do so and have been sweeping up commodities in Africa.

Has the lift testing been a requirement before final negotiations and the rumour and sp lift is those in the know buying. I am in agreement that the delay in testing results is possibly confirming the above. Remember this was the fourth largest Helium discovery in the world.

America and Blue Star was just a sensible back up if things did not fall into place. This is merely a hunch nothing more.

How many were here two years ago when this climbed to 3.4p in a matter of days. That was on the initial 'discovery' in just Tanzania - they now have the lift test to come and start producing in America next week. I wonder how big a rerate is coming.

I appreciate that HE1 restart production next week and lift testing in Tanzania, but a very very long time since such a sudden rise - is there a leak or a re rate?

Some decent sized buys creeping in ... combined with many smaller trades which in the past here went before a decent rise. Fingers crossed for some news.

James, one director sold a paltry £7k worth, probably to clear his Christmas credit card ... hardly big shakes. The other Directors hold millions and have sold nothing.

Im afraid I am done here. I lost £30k in Renx 2024 and managed to offset it on this years tax return against some gains elsewhere. I then bought back in several months ago in the hope the finances/revenue were improving. They clearly are not.

They seem to be collecting shares, I have been offered way over the bid for my entire holding.

'Sold his entire holding' - all £7k worth, hardly big shakes. More likely he needed the money for his Christmas Credit Card than any big fraud.

£7K ? I really think people should keep perspective.
