RE: Lansdowne to sue state for $100m25 Jun 2023 17:36
Does LOGP need to know what BEY intends to do, before they launch legal action under the ECT? It is beginning to look that way to me. If BEY opt for a JR and LOGP starts legal action now, what happens in a year's time if the LU is granted? Where does LOGP stand in those circumstances? The one real advantage for LOGP, if the merger had come about, would have been that more eager 'no win, no fee' firms would have competed and been able to offer more competitive terms because the amount of compensation sought would have been so much bigger. Say 12-15% rather than 20-25% of the sum awarded, if the case is won. This would have benefited both companies of course. Probably large egos prevented or are still preventing the merger. Any opinions?
