bfc... I don't think too much should be read into Amigo's previous performance !!
The playing field has changed considerably.
Amgo.v2 will be a much changed beast compared to Amgo.v1 !!!
Different management, less funding, stricter lending guidelines, tougher watchdog, poor public opinion .
The FCA is still gnashing it's teeth, and keeping a watching brief!!
The new products are key... a lower APR would help get rid of the 'loan shark' image as well.
If Amigo.v2 does start to make a decent profit then the FCA may look favourably on further redress payments , bearing in mind the possible "Sword of Damocles" future FCA fine. It would be perceived as a good gesture and good PR !!
................
Amgo.v2 could be a profitable, respected company providing a needed service, given time...
Let's hope they don't rush it and screw it all up.!!

So with a cash burn of over £3m a year lets hope the board can get things sorted out,
with regards litigation, before the end of 2025 !!!!

Getting the £300m in placings/loans should not be a problem.....
that's peanuts to the likes of JP Morgan & Blackrock and the Americans are certainly not averse to a bit of sub-prime lending !!!

Hi Peeps...
I posed this question many moons ago and got little response, I still think it's valid (hopefully Gary does too!) so I will ask again.
Amigo issues/creates 9.025bn new shares.(19:1)... at a stroke that dilutes existing shareholder's stake in the company by 95% as required by FCA and is industry standard !!
Amigo can now use those new shares as they wish to satisfy SoA2 redress and new business (Amigo.V2)
Using a hypothetical 5p share price.....
A Rights Issue of 1:1 raises £23.75m (475m @5p) which could all go to redress & expenses. This could be affordable to most shareholders ( even Vinson!!)
That would leave 8.550bn shares that Amigo could use in Institutional Placings , equity/loan swaps etc. and this could raise upto £427m (8.550bn @5p) for the New Business !!(£300m after expenses ?) This plan can be tweaked...many variations are possible.
