When the Niko funding was announced there had been speculation about a placement. IMHO funding was arranged with one of the majors to allay any fears of a placement. They expected negotiations to conclude by September 1st, but the exceptional flow rates for T39's zone 19, which is not in the CPR, required more data for an evaluation. They probably have the data now (over 60 days), but will need time to evaluate and negotiate.

StarRage - That is last month's, as if there's no change it would be 4 months and not 3 since the last change.

Anyone have the latest II holding figures for FRR?

I think the talks have been ongoing for some time, hence my post on the 25th May, posted below, which added to your three suggestions.

Why the long gap in the drilling?
1) Maybe the drilling and fracking team aren't available until November.
2) Maybe to tie in with the drilling for 2019 to reduce costs.
3) Maybe to allow time for a takeover and it has only been announced to allay fears over funding with a placement.
The third option would explain the secrecy of who is funding the well.
4) Zaza has asked a potential major JV partner to show intent as the negotiations are shall we say dragging on a bit or perhaps the potential partner has asked for a little more time etc and Zaza has said ok you have till 1st November then we drill Niko with your money.
The 1st September deadline for the 1st payment suggests that they were hoping for an agreement by now IMHO.

FiXXeR - Have you done one of your charts for FRR?

I'm still awaiting a creditable alternative to my share swop theory with ExxonMobil for the cancelled trades. I haven't seen anything to change that in the last few months, and today's RNS certainly isn't going to change my mind.

Laks - I have been convinced that a maor was involved and a NDA was in place for a while. The 1st September is also the date for the first installment of funding for Niko, which is why IMHO next Monday will be the RNS.

One possible reason for the delay in releasing well results might be associated with obtaining approval from the Georgian Government and its agencies, given the request for arbitration and the likelihood that FRR might be seeking to assign part of its interests in Block XII to a strategic partner. The first part is about one of my better investments VRS, but if you skip to the second part there’s an interview with the CEO of Georgian Mining Corporation which is quite enlightening.

They have experienced delays in getting permits from the Government and report to the same Ministry as FRR. From what he says the new Minister for Economy and Sustainable Development has yet to formally take office as he is still working his notice at a bank in Moscow. Sounds like the bureaucrats are afraid to sign anything off until he is behind his new desk.

offtheball - The 60 days will be up over the same weekend for T39, as for the first installment for Niko funding. Double lot of good news, along with flow rates from T45 and Dino that are good enough to pay YA and running costs per month. IMHO the BoD want to include the Field Development Plan or revised CPR or both, but the EWT's and Niko funding first installment, are the absolute minimum they want in a RNS. They will want to kick start the trend reversal, with news that the market cannot ignore. Alternatively, the delay in the EWT's is because of a NDA, due to negotiations for a JV, sale of Block 12 or funding for the FDP. I don't mind either scenario. Good news is coming, as there's money to pay YA and running costs and T39 is a MONSTER. The initial flow is 529 bbls/d through 6/64" choke, a 3mm hole. This would equate to over 4,000 bbls/d for the full bore (the equation is not linear, as there are other factors), if there's processing for the gas and the equipment can safely handle the pressures etc. When the EWT's are out the market will wake up to this IMHO.

The 60 days are up over the same weekend as the first installment due for the Niko funding. IMHO RNS on or before Monday 3rd with flow rates, funding confirmation and possibly the Field Development Plan. JV or buyout of Block 12 also possible.

Oversold and can't be far off for a bounce. Top 1% for strength and direction with barchart, which is often just before the reversal. Anyone have a chart?
