He made comment on here that he doesn't hold shares in RM that he sold them all? However I agree with you his response - if any - will be interesting. I haven't even touched his argument about profitability as yet I am waiting to see how he responds it will be interesting and I am ready to respond accordingly based on his response.

If you had you may (although you are so right wing I very much doubt it) have thought twice about that comment. You have also clearly not read Frank Fields report Wild West Workplace a report which shows in some depth the scandal of turning a postal industry into a profit driven jumble sale. It has been explained to you many times that postal workers clearly understand that the pension scheme has to change but you seem to continually ignore this fact. On pay Royal Mail have made hundreds of millions of pounds clear profit every single year since privatisation and was doing so prior to privatisation. By this year Royal Mail will have paid out over 800 million pounds in dividends to shareholders. And for this the 110,000 who brought about these profits are given the princely sum of no pay rise whatsoever. Now explain to me how that is fair?

@Charlie RM will outlive all of us it will be here for years to come no one can come close to picking up that work no one at all. Basically what you are saying is that there will no longer be a postal service? When they went back over the last 20 years based on the proposal there were only two bad years and even then they weren't off the Richter scale. sure it has risk but it is the way forward to the safe profitless schemes that currently exist.

@Charlie 156 All pensions carry risks but you are not correct in that Royal Mail would be required to make up any shortfall. Royal Mail would not be paying in anymore than they do now they wouldn't be spending anymore at all. It isbased on a buy low sell high strategy and it when it was shown and explained to us they went back over the last 20 years. In only two of those years would we have made less than at present, it is not as good as the final salary scheme per se but there would be years when it potentially could be dependant on the markets. It is a very good alternative

Your latest comment shows me you have a poor grasp abut what this is all about. You keep on about final salary pensions we know it was unaffordable we never said anything to the contrary but we have a very good alternative which is being ignored. Please try and keep up with the facts and as for fooking up the company, we have been down this road many times. We steer the ship now not Moya and as I have said many times you poke a bear often enough you get a reaction. @skoda so we lose 1% so what we all knew it would come down to this sometimes you have to give to get. As for the company going to the wall, not a hope of that happening the board will come under so much pressure both from the CWU the public and Government that they will have to do a deal.

Who will deliver the letters then? Nobody is the answer, now your come back will probably be that no one posts letters anymore, sadly you could not be more wrong. As we speak in all Mail Centres across the Kingdom we have processing machines and sorters working full pelt to sort letters. With regard to parcels, yeah we may lose some contracts but not many and they will come back to us they always do they did in 2010 our last dispute. You see we handle 47% of the Kingdoms parcel traffic our next two nearest rival are Yodel and Hermes at 11% and I can assure you their workers are at full pelt now as we speak, filling their Vauxhall Zafiras up to bursting point. How do I know this? I am on their social media sites and I see what they are saying. There is actually a bit of a revolt going on with these two companies as well because they have dropped their rates of pay for their employees. Many of them are leaving as it is just not worth them working for them anymore. That's the competition for you but good luck

I think you will find we had mediation already some months ago, so we haven't broken any agreement, the outcome was that Royal Mail would not shift their position and it was a complete waste of time.

Thanks for the citation from the Telegraph. You see what it fails to say is that such as it is, this forms no part of the Trade Union Labour Relations Consolidation Act which governs industrial action. As it is a trade dispute all bets are off so to so speak. You see the AFG contains much more than mediation and it is this part of the dispute which form part our disagreement with the employer. RM may well try an injunction on this and for other spurious reasons not because they have substance but because they can. It is desperate stuff it really is and it will fail I am afraid they have had enough warnings from the CWU and 18 months of talks which have got us nowhere

It will not result in legal action mediation is not legally binding, it has to be agreed by both parties before it can take place and the CWU will not play the waiting game on this because it suits Royal Mail not a hope in hell of that happening. The agenda for growth is pretty much a dead duck as we are now in a trade dispute. The funny thing about this agreement is the word growth, every single idea on growth from the CWU has been blocked or ignored by Royal Mail, there has been no growth, they cannot just pick and choose a section from that agreement when it suits them and choose to ignore the agreement at all other times.

We decide the direction of this company not market forces, the business may be in the free market, its employees who happen to be union members are not. Take it up with the CEO not us oh and by the way we are staying put and we are going to get what we want and you are paying for it through your divi's, enjoy.

Is that Yodel that deliver 11% of all UK traffic set against our 47% and whose employees who deliver said mail out of the back of a Vauxhall Zafira that may or may not spontaneously combust? Is that the competition you are on about? By the way Yodel are bursting at the seams with work and cannot cope as it is so best of luck with guesswork but you couldn't be more wrong if you tried.

Ta yeah I have got it. Mediation is it not a hope of that we have to agree to that and they have 18 months to sort this out. We would have to agree to mediation and unless that is immediate not a hope in hell it will happen they are clutching at straws it smacks of utter desperation. We have done our mediation and the result came out at 4:30.

@Jonjo That is a very constructive response....still what it does show is that your words are completely meaningless as you have absolutely no idea what it is your talking about. So I will try one more time, what do you mean by modernisation lets see how you get on this time.
