And what does that tell you about the management team running this organisation? @Soup Nobody knows until the report is released on the 30th by the mediator that will tell us a lot i would imagine. There is strict confidentiality on the talks at the moment although we know there has been progress we don't know what that looks like.

We have been talking for 18 months the talking is now finished and we await the report on the 30th, you can only talk for so long. If the outcome is acceptable then we carry on as normal if there is not an acceptable deal we will be out there is no doubt about that we have too much to lose not to strike. You talk about job losses if strike action happens, well let me tell you, in all of the disputes that i have been involved in over four decades no one has ever lost their job because of taking lawful industrial action, absolutely no one and neither will they if we go out again. Unless they bend the knee on all of our demands there will be no agreement and if they do so what does that tell you about the leaders of this company who could have avoided all of this 18 months ago, so don't go blaming the Union what ever way this turns out, we will protect this vital service no matter what it takes

@loutro So i am not interested in dividends because you do not earn them you are taking a gamble which may or may not pay off. I don't care whether you get divis so long as it doesn't interfere with terms and conditions of employment and sadly it is hence the dispute we find ourselves in. So in a strange way you are culpable for this dispute not us. I have never said i am not interested in profits so you are misquoting me i am afraid. I also suggest you read my comments again i have no intention or will i destroy this company but i dislike with great intensity the greed culture of people like yourself who couldn't care less about the very people who make this company profitable. @jonjo Thanks for the reply "our own selfish ends" and all you care about is the divi. These jobs are more precious to us than your divi so just who is being the selfish one. here we have families to look after and we care not for your divi but to have the ability to live a life free of debt. I don't care about your divi and i don't care about how many shares you hold either and as for profits we want a piece of the cake because we have earned it, quite what have you done?

The difference between us is that you think as you have mentioned that the workforce are overpaid for what they do, which they are not. The competition that you claim exists is non existent because its premise is based on a lack of overall regulation and Gig economy workers who are treated disgracefully. My venom is based on fact your rant is based on false expectation and exploitation

Totally agree this is now the beginning of the end for the Gig Economy, Hermes Yodel and Amazon be warned you are next. The weird thing is they will probably and quite fruitlessly fight this in the Supreme court which of course will be a complete and utter waste of time and money. Good news for Royal Mail though now Hermes and Yodel will have no other course but put up prices.

Easy for them comment looking in through the windows. They should have a go themselves, two days of the year would probably change their attitudes. The hottest day of the year and the coldest day of the year and lets see them do a 12 hour day out on the streets now that would be an eye opener and i am sure you would agree that would definitely change their view of the type of work we do

@Isleworth ..Actually if you read the comments at the bottom of that link that would not be for an 8 hour day given what i have read. Fantastic if you don't want to have a life of sorts i agree with you i would rather earn less and know what time i begin work and what time i finish. Fed Ex would certainly not be for me.
