As long as you remain confident in your original research that led you to buying at 116p in the first place, and you do not need to access that money in the short term, then why worry?

I certainly do not think we have seen the bottom yet. Market-wide, not just this name.

And the SP could easily overshoot to the downside. Such things are extremely common, even outside of bear markets or common-garden corrections. Which creates some very nice opportunities of course.

I agree with the other poster that the size, and therefore scale of operations here, is likely to be a big advantage. Certainly in comparison to smaller names.

I think the bigger issue for the UK markets will be the continued outflow of domestic and foreign capital into mainly US stocks. Rather than here.

Until we get a patriotic government. Which, among addressing some other significant societal issues, will also include a pro-business agenda.

The good news is it can be fixed, and insofar as the pro-business stuff, fixed quickly.

But probably a case of battening down the hatches for at least a couple more years.

To be clear, I am not suggesting outfits like this one are suffering due to the current commie agenda. This one is failing all by itself.

As to the topic of CGT: I will not be altering my investment and trading plans in spite of these changes. That would require the removal of tax loss selling opportunities.

They look like a good little outfit, maybe a potential acquisition target even, if the owners ever wanted to go down that path of course.

But IMO not a threat to this name in any time-frame that will likely be of interest to me anyway.

I have no opinion on whether or not they can pull off a consolidation next year. Or another raise more generally.

There are plenty of smoke and mirror AIM outfits that have billions of shares in issue, so perhaps they are not at the stage yet of needing a consolidation.

But anything other than running down the finances until the last possible moment, and then the predictable RNS, which has played out in so many similar types in the past couple of years, would border on the astonishing, to my mind.

Anyway, as always with these situations, and to finish on a slightly less negative note, while the finances are sufficient to keep the company as a going concern, the large lady will have to hold off singing :) Happy Christmas all.

It always amazes me when people take up these allocations, when you can easily buy plenty on the open market at a cheaper price before the execution date. Pretty much always, with a brief exception during the Covid bubble market time.

We are in agreement though on the creation of (fiat) money and the negative impact that it has had/will continue to have on...pretty much every aspect of life. Especially for those with few assets. Good weekend & happy Christmas all.

And the housing market is simply a function of, and responding to, basic supply and demand. Same for rents.

Want to see house prices come down? Significantly reduce immigration, while deporting a decent chunk of the current illegals.

A less radical solution would be to restrict lending to far tighter multiples of one person or a couple's salary. Or eg minimum deposits of 30% of the total property value.

Both are pipe-dreams, but nevertheless would do the trick for lowering house prices and rents.

Bad luck for many people who would be stuck in severe negative equity for decades after though. Not to mention the social and economic cost of either theoretical policies.

Banning foreign ownership of more than one property would help in some parts of the UK, but that is not without its difficulties or other unintended consequences either.

IMO, the housing market is probably propping up our terrible economy, artificial though it may be in many ways.

Which is why all the politicians continue to do everything that they can to keep the bubble from bursting.

The beginning of the end to prudent fiscal management started with Blair. The rest have basically followed his lead.

I agree that running businesses got increasingly more difficult after the GFC, and materially tougher after 2016 in some respects.

But as a nation, sooner or later, we have to return to some form of sound money. EU membership, and the way the EU has been going for a few years now, is really not the silver bullet that some of my friends still think it is.

I was probably a net beneficiary of membership, but I totally understand why so many people felt differently. Especially semi-skilled and low skilled British workers for example.

That open door immigration (IMO the primary reason why Leave' won) has continued apace, in spite of all the central planner busy work since 2016, shows the realities of the game. Not that some will ever see this, no matter what. Hey ho.
