It looks like Stupmy's TA might play out. Having looked at the charts a few times now, I still cannot see what he has, with that TA, but that is on me. Very much a work in progress.

Against that, always good to see an II building/adding to a position.

Having refreshed my thinking on this name over the weekend, I have a couple of potential buy orders levels in mind, but might just wait for the update if they do not hit. Certainly not going to chase the price. GLA.

I agree with that opinion. I just do not think it is going to be at a price where most holders are going to see any profit. But time will tell. GLA.

But I stand by my earlier premise and my thoughts on what is ultimately going to happen here.

After all, who knows better than the insiders? As I said a while ago, if I was in their position, with that level of faith in the future, I would be stuffing my cash in here. A lot of it. Especially as I was already getting a (very good) salary.

If that was not the plan, then logically, if anything, the BoE would have increased interest rates, rather than cutting them and launching another round of QE, in 2020.

Or perhaps their qualifications were inadequate for the task. No inflation risk seen...then only transitory...etc.

Hardly unique to the UK. But so what? The central banks do not seem to answer to anyone.

And most people have neither the time, the inclination or a sufficiently curious mind, to give some thought to this.

Greggs and Marks both have far higher P/E ratios than Card though.

So unless the update is weak (and the last RNS gave no reason to expect this), then I am not expecting a sell off on that day.

Unless the wider markets wet the bed that day, in which case, sure it is possible/fairly likely.

But you cannot time such things IMO, so if that happens for reasons not company-specific, I personally will probably take a few more. Mid/late 80's - if it happens. GLA.

In answer to your question: Obviously, some are buying.

But not insiders. Which IMO, especially for AIM, is something that potential investors should keep in mind.

Based simply on the official updates/historical evidence, I really cannot see a strong bull case here. I can see why some might fancy a flutter, but that is different.

But time will tell and I could be wrong. I often am. Although less commonly when it comes to AIM. Maybe this time will be different? GLA.

It looks to me like a lot of those 0.27 placement shares have been dumped onto the market in the past few days.

Otherwise the SP would have risen a good deal higher on that volume, IMO.

If the appetite continues though, then the overhang will clear sooner or later, and you might get a double from here.

I think the chart looks good, from a TA perspective, but it needs to break above and hold the 200 DMA (0.326p), for a break out to potentially occur.

That will be of no consequence to PMI, or LTH devotees, but for some traders to potentially jump on board here (and thus get some proper momentum in the SP), that is what you should look out for. GLA.

The bond markets saw this instantly, nor were fooled into thinking that increasing borrowing yet further with the existing debt pile would not be a problem. Shame LT and KK were unable to figure this out at the time. Hey ho.

Are KS and RR worse? Absolutely. Will Reform be sufficiently better than the government of the past few decades, or will they too be compromised by the blob? We may or may not find out sometime.

But seeing what Milei appears to have achieved so soon in Argentina, I am not willing to buy excuses from ex-politicians in the UK.

Thanks Stupmy. Yes indeed, especially when you add US stock stuff into the mix.

AAPL or TSLA look like safer short prospects than this one right now IMO, although I do not put my money where my mouth is when it comes to shorting stuff. Perhaps when we hit another bear market I might give it a go then.

And of course I am not suggesting anyone else do so either.

For YOU right now, I cannot see the short thesis, from a chart perspective anyway. Weak or average update then a different matter, but that is a little way off.

I have absolutely no clue/feel for this one at all.

57p might tempt me to add a few, although ideally we get back above the 50 DMA soon, or we could go all the way back to the lower end of the range IMO.

The cup and handle is still viable at this stage, but I think it would be invalidated if we went below 57p - but my TA is not good enough to pin my hat to that, so happy to be corrected if there are any decent technicians here who could give some clarity on this suggestion.

See, I never liked the UK ISA idea, because I saw it as a potential backdoor to blocking, or limiting, UK investors from accessing the international markets via their ISA wrappers.

Not immediately, but eventually. It would have been a stupid move, if it had led to that scenario, but what about our government of the past 30 years suggests that they would not do something dumb like that?

The way to increase investment in the UK and UK stock markets, is by making them attractive.

The only role the government should have in this objective is by meddling as little as possible.

As well as significantly reducing the size of the state, reversing the mess of the past few decades. Which would help the real economy/private sector to thrive. IMO.

I think if they end up making big strides in the US market, then the commercial case for changing our listing might be more valid.

As things stand, and given how the US has been a graveyard for many a foreign business, I think they should just keep paying down the debt and growing revenue (and more importantly, profit).

Certainly for the time being anyway.

They could then increase dividends and maybe even initiate a buy back.

So for me, in this particular case, no. I think we should stay put. And I do believe at some point in the next few years, we will get a government that will be very pro-business again. Maggie style.

Because the pendulum has swung far too far in the past few years. Historically, you get a similar swing in the other direction after a time. And that is when the quality UK entities still listed here should reap the benefits.

To be clear, I would like to see something far more radical than Maggie ever did, but I do not think the pendulum will go that far! GLA.
