I should probably make clear that I am not advocating for ABF with my previous comment. Never owned it, but can see the appeal (at a certain price) for those who do.

I do not particularly like the look of the chart (a brief glance, first time ever, so not a deep dive etc) - but - if they give a good update and strong forward guidance, well, IMO you could see a very nice SP reaction. Even a mediocre update might have already been priced in. Will find out soon enough I guess. GLA.

Completely agree with you about not falling in love with any stock.

And I have regularly been accused of being short, or attempting to spread FUD etc on some of these chat boards (even though I am a long-only investor and trader), simply because my default position is one of caution.

And one of seeking bear case arguments in my current or target stocks, because it is madness not to keep an open mind on such things.

I take nothing for granted here, or with any of my other positions.

Well, on technicals, IMO, if we do not close above 17.38p today, or certainly by end of business tomorrow, then we are likely going back to 16p-ish. Hopefully not a retest of the lows, but then again, that would likely attract some fresh trader money.

The chart looks fine to me. Sideways chop for about a month now, but above the 50 DMA still, cheap on fundamentals, recent update showed nothing to scare the horses etc.

Sparhawk: I agree with James. The BoE will cut rates shortly. I think 0.25% as well. And I think we will see at least a couple more in 2025. Potentially more significant cuts, depending on how the economy looks by autumn. Maybe sooner.

I have made my opinions clear on central banks, so this is not an endorsement. And if their mandate was exclusively about inflation, then I would likely concur with your thoughts on what is going to happen in February. We shall see soon enough. GLA.

I shared my general thoughts on SPACs a while ago, but as it is going ahead, hopefully it will be one of the ones that actually works out. GLA.

I actually had a buy order that I cancelled in the early afternoon.

I did not see this raise coming, but just felt we were going to retest the 50 DMA, so decided to take a fresh view in a few days.

I would be very surprised if we did not at least dip below the placing price. Given it almost always does.

The 200 DMA would look interesting to me from a technical trade perspective. But some others do not think this is going to happen and they might be right. We will know soon enough.

The beauty of trading, rather than investing in a name, especially an AIM one, apart from IMO being more likely to realise a profit, is you do not have to keep pouring ever more money in, just to keep the same percentage of company ownership. Especially if you are a smaller holder who does not get the chance to be an insider.

Ultimately, if I make a profit here on the allocation that I still hold, then that is all that matters to me. Same as everyone else on this chat board.
