I have opened a small position here. IMO, and based on the recent update, the business looks to be heading in the right direction.

Pretty cheap on fundamentals, nice dividend and a BB programme that will hopefully help the SP in the short to medium term.

Would have been nice to see more meaty inside buys, but that is only a minor quibble on my part.

Looking for 135p or so, but might hold for longer. Naturally hoping to catch the dividend, but that feature is only a small part of my reason to join you here. GLA.

No idea. But I had another small buy order hit late in the afternoon.

I fancy that gap around 88p-ish will get filled, long before the next update, but as always, time will tell. GLA.

Probably because they have enough cash for now, and the shareholders who matter to them, are content with things as they stand.

The rest of us just need to hope that the SPAC (which, as I mentioned a while ago, I am not a fan of) nevertheless generates enough interest to drive the SP up.

Nervous markets, combined with an underlying fear that ordinary shareholders are not going to see proper rewards for their investment perhaps?

The first is beyond dispute. The second is simply conjecture. Although the recent private placement might not sit well with some smaller PI's. No mate's rates/warrants for them.

The CFO purchase back in February is enough to keep me warm right now, but I can understand that not everyone will have the patience for a small cap that has lost 12% in the last month, and is essentially flat for those who bought in 2018.

Songwe conclusion should help, IMO.

Not uncommon with miners though. I think the commodities that this name focuses on, look good for a decent rise in the short to medium term. Based on the charts, as much as my macro opinions.

But time will tell and as I have said previously, there is always the threat of region-specific risks as well. GLA.

IMO virtually no chance of a bid before results are published.

And I think a bid is actually more likely (and more swiftly) if the results are at the upper end of expectations, with positive forward guidance.

But if they are at the lower end, I still think a bid in the following weeks is feasible, but at a lower price.

Most importantly, they need to be within guidance, showing debt coming down, IMO.

The RNS states that he has gone from 8% to 2.6%. That is the headline that IMO matters. As rich as he is, it would appear that he did not want to retain the same size of position in the company.

Hopium that there might have been a last-minute reprieve or a buy out offer perhaps.

Not advice of course, but buying at the current price would not IMO constitute 'chasing' it.

It has hardly had a massive run, nor is it expensive on current fundamentals.

I thought that was an estimate? Either way, the important thing is the company getting a clean bill of health, and closure soon.

I do think that Sidara are waiting to see the report before pushing the button (or walking away), because IMO they should themselves have had enough time by now to cover the ground that they needed to, from where they left off.

Ultimately, it will happen when it happens.

Agree that the East is on an upward curve right now and the Roman Empire outcome is one that we in the West should have never lost sight of. Especially in the past 80 years or so.

Many of the problems we face in our western nations can IMO be dealt with, without resorting to social credit systems.

But they will require the amendment of, or perhaps entirely expunging, some international legal agreements.

Laws that were penned in different times and without the foresight of what they would result in, decades into the future. Namely now.

Yeah, they are looked on with envy by a lot of the western politicians, lol.

In all seriousness, if they can get away with introducing similar social credit systems here, they absolutely will, IMO.

We only need to look at the significant erosion of free speech, de-banking, the blatant two-tiered policing and sentencing approaches of the past few years, as just a few examples, to be mindful of the old saying about stones and glass houses.

It certainly is not the quick turnaround that quite a few (including me at one time) thought it would be. Same for the Deloitte report conclusion. Juicy and growing fees, unless they put a cap on the costs (which I suspect not, but could be wrong). GLA.

Yeah. I would not rule that out either. My current thesis is based on where the main US indices are, in terms of being below a few key moving averages, as well as how the VIX chart is currently looking. Namely a strong upward channel, unlike previous spikes, which subsided as quickly as they rose.

And even if the main indices lost another 5% or so, that is still only mild correction territory. Potentially a healthy retrace before a retest of the ATH's later in the year. That being the bull case.

Finley1: The potential for a take out is the one potential wild card here, which is why I have not let it fall off my radar.

The trouble is, there are a few names in a similar boat right now, and you do not want to spread yourself too thinly.

Especially if, like me, you are sitting on a lot of dry powder, because you think the markets are at least starting a correction. Maybe a proper bear market.

Where the US leads, we invariably follow.

Yesterday across the Pond could have just been a continuation of the early stages of rotation out of the tech and other big caps, into different areas. But I am not sure about that.

I am still adding small amounts to a few names here and my US stocks, but with a lot of caution.

Will not start adding more heavily unless/until we see a much higher VIX print and a substantially lower index-wide print.

But I welcome heightened volatility, because it is very useful for trading.

As for this name...lots to like still - if they can find the right people to execute successfully. Or an offer drops. GLA.

Different sector, but IMO a lot of similarities, in terms of debt pile struggles, having to sell off various company assets, if not some of the issues WG has had, such as the CFO debacle.

That deal is most unsatisfactory IMO, but in this credit environment, the lenders call the shots.

Another scenario might be that they declare a low ball offer (a number that many here would get angry about, and one that would not trouble the shorts), while simultaneously detailing a refinance package, as an alternative for shareholders to consider.

Then put the options to the vote.
