The chart IMO has broken down now, so I would think the odds favour a retest of the year low. Then we might see your 320, Stupmy.

Although this one is tricky to call, given the small share count and even smaller free float.

But it is fun to speculate, so I will forecast that unless we return to the 370's tomorrow, then I will plump for said retest at some point next week.

Certainly glad that I lucked out with my partial sell order that I forgot to cancel a few days ago, or whenever it was.

Plenty of dry powder to add further small increments, but this is still a small stake for me, and is not one that I plan to load the boat with.

Ultimately I see my current 377p-ish average going back into profit. Either through improved sentiment, or a takeover.

This, for me, is where my interest sits.

Sidara walked away last time, having done their dd. They have returned, presumably knowing all the nasties up to said walk away point.

The risk as I see it is only with the BOD not accepting a revised (obviously much lower) offer. Not Sidara walking away without first tabling an offer.

This is pretty much my only concern at this point, and we remain in this particular range because it is a sentiment shared by a lot of people, including a bunch of shorts.

Whether the main shareholders left here would be willing to risk throwing more good money after bad, in the event of a refi, instead of a company sale....with the current CEO in seat...well, I would not.

And it is this scenario where I would book the loss and move on. And is also why I am only playing with punt money, because I am also in the 50-50 deal or no deal camp. Just my thoughts etc. GLA.

I think so too, PJ, or at least fill the gap at 36.65p (I think it is?) before revisiting the 35's, if it is not going to have another go at 40p yet.

That was just my read from looking at the five day chart. Nothing fancy. But IMO it could also be a bull flag (as long as it does not fall below that 33.69p) on the same time-frame.

Not sure how reliable TA is in situations like this one and more importantly, not sure my own TA skills are refined enough yet to pin my hat to my statement either, lol.

But it is something that I enjoy and continue to work on. One of the reasons why I mention this stuff from time to time is to get the views of more established technicians (Stupmy being one of them IMO), as well as to occasionally look back and see if I got the short term TA calls right, or not.

IMO, if an offer comes in tomorrow, katstrangler, then it will be one that has been made after dd has been completed.

This is a reasonable assumption to make, after the content of the RNS in question the other day.

I do not know if other parties are interested on a take-all basis, or if they are waiting to see what Sidara tables (if they table something).

But I am not sure you are right in your premise that people have plenty of time to wait on the sidelines, after the event of an offer being made.

All that said, we have an increase in short interest above the disclosed level.

While I appreciate that there are various financial instruments that can be used to hedge etc, I nevertheless take this as confidence by the shorts that a deal is not going to be tabled.

Or at least not one that is going to see them eat a big loss.

If nothing else, with all these RNS documents costing them between £100 - £500 a pop, that is another reason to get a bloody move on, lol. GLA.

The questions that you posed are completely irrelevant. Because, as I have repeatedly suggested, IMO, it makes no difference, in terms of whether or not LTH's are going to see a reward for their investment here.

The degree of dilution over the years (and especially in more recent years) is such that the average PI would have to invest considerable sums of money, just to retain the same overall percentage of ownership here.

Meaning the risk/reward metric continues to skew to the downside, by logical conclusion.

Without even broaching the matter of opportunity cost.

Of course, some might be able to benefit from quick trades here and there (although IMO there are many, far better avenues for such stock market games) - but you often suggest that you are an investor here.

So my responses are always with the investment angle in mind.

I was never in Avacta, but perhaps some here have experience of that name and can give their opinions.

Judging by the chart of their long term SP though, I would imagine that many perhaps feel differently.

Either way, surely establishing partnerships, securing deals, and dare I say it, generating some revenues, is the job of Huw?

The finances at VLX were not strong enough the last time they bid. Hence their SP got hammered on the RNS's.

They are still not strong enough, nor likely to be sufficiently improved in a few months, to try again - unless the bid price is significantly reduced.

But IMO the amount that they could pay without cratering their SP again, would be too low to get a TTG agreement.

So, it is either a different party, or needs a boardroom clean out.

I reiterate that I think the current BOD has had long enough now and has failed.

And if we do not hear about an offer shortly, and we see no chunky inside buying, then the case for firing them will be stronger still, for me.

If this was an AIM stock, I would expect it to be a P&D, but in this case, I wonder if it is a big buyer in the background? Possibly City rumours, I agree.

Shorting should not be banned. While I myself have never to date shorted a stock, I can see it has a place in the financial markets for a number of reasons.

Plus, it is fun being in a name when a short squeeze happens :)

Anyway, this one keeps hammering on that 80p level.

I think we need to have another flush to exhaust the sellers, then hopefully we can regain some positive momentum again.

Just the investment pot at the time of print, as the tradies got taken out again when that spike to 90p retraced quickly a week or so ago, but very much still on my watch list for another go, if I see a prospect.

Those gaps we talked about before are IMO going to get filled sooner or later. But I do think we go lower first. AIMO & GLA.
