I used to be dismissive of chart and TA stuff too. Then at some point, I started reading up and concentrating properly on the basics of it. I think it was after one particular poster kept on calling a SP range on another stock spot on, time after time.

While it does not offer 100% accuracy of course, I have found it to be a most useful tool, complementing the various other things that I had been doing.

But to each their own and ultimately, if a company does well, then fundamentals will out eventually, as the saying goes.

I think an outright sale is the only option now. Not sure the BOD can be trusted sufficiently to gain the support of a white knight at this point.

In different circumstances, I would otherwise be inclined to agree with your idea, Dallo.

All that said, I will support whatever you decide to go with.

IMO, absolutely that is their plan, Mary. They are hoping to get away with the same strategy that was adopted in the 1970's.

Only we had a far smaller national debt then. Far lower levels of personal debt too. Far healthier demographics.

Fortunately for them, most people have not figured out that inflation is basically a tax.

And one that only hammers the working and middle classes.

It is why the rich were hoovering up farm land and other real 'currency' back in 2020 and 2021, on a higher scale than normal. They knew (as did ordinary people who used their brain back then) what the consequences of shutting down large parts of the economy, while also printing crazy amounts of fiat cash, would lead to.

Quite frankly, the independent central banks of the world should have put interest rates up in 2020, not dropped them, let alone fresh rounds of QE.

That IMO would have been a logical thought process. You could be forgiven for thinking independent in name only.

Anyway, it is what it is. Even now, this is a minority opinion, so we are all just going to have to try and buffer ourselves as best we can while this plays out in the coming few years.

As for this company, I have decided to nibble a few more if we see 84p. Stab in the dark really but let's see if I get it :) GLA.

You will never find me defending the BoE, but IMO the US has as much chance of a soft landing as our former PM would of winning slimmers world :)

Anyway, good to see the SP forming a more solid base around the 420's now (fingers crossed). Will be interesting to see how it moves as we approach the next update in a few weeks. GLA.

BARC should cut costs and better reward their shareholders, IMO.

Look, the solutions to pretty much all problems are found in less government, not more.

So you will not find me anything but opposed to the absolute lack of a free market here and quite frankly much of the rest of the western world too. Something that IMO you can trace back to the GFC. Maybe further back still.

IMO though, you should not let this bank off the hook either. They are to blame for a number of mistakes over the years which are entirely of their own making.

Anyway, in spite of all this and as I have alluded to in the past, this one has retained a place on my watch list.

I still think if we see 130's I will find it really hard not to jump back in for a trade (or longer term hold if that goes wrong!), but Mr Wolf's suggestion of even lower potentially is one that crossed my mind too.

Technical analysts may be able to offer a better scientific take than I can though, but these are my thoughts, for what little they are worth :) GLA.

Another piece for the jigsaw. Another tick in the box for HARL. Another step forward that validates the confidence of the longs at this stage, and hopefully another stride towards an eventual SP that will also reward longer term shareholders that have remained here, even though heavily underwater.

And rewards of course for those of us who have been fortunate enough to join the operation at a later stage in proceedings.

Time will tell, as I always like to say, but I am enjoying the journey right now. GLA.

Fair enough. Lots to like in this one, especially the reducing debt pile, IMO.

Would not be worth it for the trading costs. Mine were a couple of the 5K buys.

The SP action the past few days has been very interesting. I am anticipating another red day across the markets.

If this comes to pass, it will be fascinating to see how this one goes.

Might take a few more for myself if we get a savage sell off, but if we see similar price action in this company to yesterday, I think that would be cause for some real optimism.

100% agree. Better to be lucky than good, as the saying goes. Combine both, and you are laughing.

It is always gratifying when that happens :)

Usually just beforehand, you get a bunch of new posters trying to spread doom and gloom.

Not talking about longer term bears, but brand new accounts quite often.

I really loaded up on one stock in 2020 when that happened, but I was reasonably familiar with the company at the time, so it was perhaps easier to do than it may have been for some newer investors, or those exploring that company for the first time.

Not saying it will happen here, but something to look out for in future perhaps.

Anyway, the more new work we get, the stronger the bull case here, IMO. It really is as simple as that.

The macro stuff also makes it right place, right time too, IMO.

But for balance, time will tell if we are right or wrong. GLA.

Another way to look at it, DGF, is it sometimes gives us PI's an advantage, in a game that is generally heavily stacked against us...

Well, officially, the judiciary is independent (separation of powers concept).

Much like the central bank is, since the late 1990s/early 2000's (forget exactly when the man who sold most of our gold at rock-bottom prices made that change).

I find it hard to believe though, that when it comes to matters of strategic national importance, a little bit of pragmatism, shall we say, would not be applied.

But I think the net zero stuff was always madness, so I have my own bias on that topic.

Oh, sorry, I see what you mean now. Perhaps the market does not trust the government to follow through?

I personally think this is one area where they probably will though, but IMO the market has not priced this in yet.

Dobbin46: That is simple. It will, IMO, lead to a market cap that a number of us LTH's anticipated a few years ago.

I also agree with the poster who suggested that if one of the big names adopts it, others will follow in short order.

But the saying about the proof in the pudding etc is still pending, hence the market cap being where it currently is, instead.

It is my money, although technically not, insofar as it is theirs officially and will be their p/f to manage when they are of age.

But losses on their behalf sting more than my own, if you see what I mean :)

I remember what JW said recently about FSS funding and I am comfortable with it.

IMO the market will be comfortable with it once the ink has dried and the full specifics are outlined in black and white.

And that is fine by me too.

I am in no rush. Xenor is right about a lot of AIM traders struggling to sit tight for more than five minutes, but I am not one of them. Even with stocks that are just a planned trade. And this one, as I said a while back, is now a LTH (subject to the obvious caveats), with the trading pot separate. When it was originally just a trade stock for me.

Even if everything goes exactly as we hope, I will still probably trade some on the side, deep into the future. Hopefully with buy prices much, much higher than today :)

I enjoy it and (when you get it right), it makes a material difference to your returns.

Naturally, not advice, just my opinion etc.

If the markets were policed properly (especially AIM), then that would help.

But regardless, a good company, managed with skill and integrity, will do just fine on AIM.

There are plenty of examples of such companies, so I am not bothered about that right now.

Agree that at some point, if all goes to plan, then I would be open to a move to the main market - but not before we are ready.

Ready to me, means once we are fully established, generating a profit and paying down debt methodically.

So realistically a few years away, to give us a proper 'track record' of achieving the above, not just eg one financial year of this.

IMO, institutional and other big money will arrive here once a good FSS deal is inked, let alone a positive IM result. Although that would not hurt, either.

A continuation, and steady stream of the type of small, then hopefully expanding, contract wins like the one we heard about the other day.

Lots of different sized pieces of what will hopefully become a significant jigsaw masterpiece.

Bought a few for the kids today.

It also matters a lot more to me when I decide to buy stocks for them, even though the positions are only a small fraction of my typical purchase sizes...so gulp! GLA.
