RE: 330’s ?17 Jul 2023 16:10
I agree. If we were seeing this price action on a string of strong market days, it might be somewhat different. Although even then, based on the 'known knowns' at the time of print, my current long position would not trouble me.
I am bearish on the macro stuff (not ASOS-specific), but feel my target price is achievable, even when allowing for this. That includes pending UK inflation data.
But clearly, I anticipated reaching that target before now, so cannot claim to have got a good 'feel' for this one!
I can afford to be patient though. The shares are not on margin, and I do not need that cash back at any particular time.
The next update will either demonstrate that the new strategy is working, which IMO will mean I get the opportunity to take profits, if it does not arise sooner, or it is not. In the latter case, things will likely get a bit spicy here. Maybe some changes in management. Maybe a company sale.
If this happens, the more optimistic bulls are not going to see the heady numbers thrown about here. I am not going to suggest a price in this instance either, because I have literally no idea. I doubt I would participate in a fund raise, so in this scenario, would probably eat the loss and move on. But now I am sounding de-rampy, which is not my intention, so let me sign off with 'long and strong' :)
Not really that long to wait and find out, either way.
