Given the rise since that crash, anything less than a good update will IMO see another big crash in the SP.

I am neither a buyer nor a seller until the next update. But, short of something truly hair-raising, I will keep the long term pot intact and potentially add further to it after the dust has settled. Just my thoughts, not advice etc.

Not negativity. Just logic.

Look across the Pond as a short term guide for tomorrow IMO.

Consider the historical performance of the stock markets in February.

Consider the macro picture (Red Sea etc).

A range of other indicators that provide very useful short term signposts.

We might be up a little bit tomorrow, but I would be amazed if we regained most of the losses of today, for example.

We might have done by the March update, but in the very short term, I really doubt it.

But there are plenty of reasons why I am long here. All of them have been cited by various posters over the past few weeks, so I will not repeat them. I just think that we have not broken the downward trend yet.

If I could pick bottoms, I would. But I cannot, so I try and ladder in here and there etc. GLA.

Using these chat boards for financial advice would be foolish.

They can provide some useful information and a wide variety of bull and bear scenarios/ideas, but ultimately, one's gains or losses are down to the success or failure of the BOD in question.

All too often you see a BOD (especially on AIM) mislead investors/potential investors. Almost always without consequences for them. Fiduciary duty and other legal obligations that apply to Directors are rarely enforced IMO.

Take this one: We were led to believe that the cash runway was beyond early February. Then we find out otherwise with a mid-afternoon RNS.

Disgraceful - but there will be no investigation or consequences for this (would be delighted for it to be otherwise).

Pointing the finger of blame anywhere else misses the bigger picture. GLA.

I am going to wait to see if we hold the current year low before adding.

Bigger sell off today than I expected; not particularly worried about my current holding here, but a big market bounce would surprise me at this point. More likely some more to the downside IMO.

Not that the regulators would do anything anyway, if it came to it, I suspect.

I was never up in this one, but this is why taking profits, when you have the chance, is always sensible. Especially on AIM.

For all the talk, I guess what they had was basically not worth anything. Otherwise they would have got the funding they needed.

IMO the majority of the blame sits with the previous BOD, who left this company essentially dead in the water, despite years of funding and generous remuneration.

Not that this is any comfort to LTH's for more recent holders, who have ended up with the same outcome.

Very sad end to proceedings here.

Another AIM duster for me, but it was always a high risk, death or glory one, especially after the last RNS.

GLA and I hope we all recoup our losses here in other outfits in future.

Be that as it may, that RNS a moment ago sticks in the throat somewhat.

Hopefully he will achieve the criteria that qualifies him for that juicy award. At the time of print, it merely looks like a bit of a joke.

Trouble is, sooner or later the wider market is going to wake up to this reality.

FWIW, I do think they are going to cut rates. Not because inflation is tamed, mind.

Strip out the public sector jobs...consider how many of those 'added' are basically door dash type part time gigs. Meanwhile, it is clear that the higher quality, higher paid roles are going down. And will continue to, as the big corporates continue with their headcount reductions...IMO naturally.

After one poor trade this morning, I compounded it by adding another couple of hundred shares here at 515p. Not for a trade, but nevertheless, another crap decision.

Thought the chart was looking primed for another attack on the 50 DMA.

You are right, Mary. I often struggle to get it right with brand new holdings. Even when I track them for a while before taking the first plunge, for some reason I seem to need to ease myself in.

My (wrong) thesis this morning was that we would bounce but then retreat.

Shorts are increasing (including Marshall Wace, who I never like seeing on the shorts list) and ultimately I did not expect us to get through the 50 DMA on this occasion.

Still so much to improve upon, but it is a work in progress.

And we finally have some pleasant weather, so I think I am going to go for a walk, enjoy the sunshine and shake off the current irritation :) GLA.

I lost money on Superdry a few years ago. Luckily nowhere near as much as would have been the case if I had held all the way down. 20% still stings though.

Unless J D is going to offer 12 quid a pop to buy back his company. Even then, opportunity cost etc.

But yes, I would absolutely love it if AP or MA made similar overtures here right now :)

I set a buy order as well for 76p. Naturally just missed the boat on that.

All that said, this one is quite volatile right now, so unless we stay above the 50 DMA for at least a few days, then IMO we could just as easily see a return to the sub 80p range fairly quickly.

Full disclosure: I hope so! lol.

No idea, but my own holding hit a sell price I set this morning. I thought we might get a bounce to circa 84p and then drop back.

Hoping to have the chance to buy them back, but if the horse has bolted, at least my kids still have their ones :)

I thought we would be back into the mid 370's at least after how things went across the Pond last night.

Well. I see my prediction about how our markets would fare today has proved to be entirely wrong :)

Indeed. Throw in the new mine and the fact that historically, the miners go on (sometimes quite frothy) runs, hopefully we will be correct in our predictions, however optimistic they may currently feel.

Anyway, we did do well to hold 5 quid yesterday, with a fairly strong reversal.

Today should be the opposite IMO, based on how the miners did across the Pond last night.

Throw in the after hours performance of those 'magnificent' stocks that reported after the bell, and I think equities are going to somewhat fly across the board today. GLA.

Well, supportive to my mind would mean at least retaining their level of holding, not being diluted, let alone selling down.

If positive Disko news comes soon, or indeed that much-awaited strategy update, including asset sales for all non-D stuff, then the SP action at that point might give a clue as to whether they are planning on selling out fully, or further reducing their position here.

Management have a long way to go before they justify any faith being given to what they have to say, IMO.

As I suggested before, even if you are a new holder here with eg a sub 1p average, if you have done any research into the many historic interviews and RNS's, then you should be sceptical at best.

Anyway, GLA while we all continue to wait for said strategy update and asset sale confirmation. A few posters here have suggested some ball park figures. Let's see.
