If it is SG looking to exit, then it is likely to be a fairly slow process IMO (and from experience in other shares).

You need an update on the strategy, the asset sales and ideally Disko, to clear this overhang quickly IMO.

I can see the temptation, but IMO this one still has legs.

Might slice a few if we get to 26.50 ish, but if not, personally I am happy to hold and collect the dividend in the meantime.

That was a very good update. This one does not usually rise 7% plus in a day.

Yep. The only solution is far less government and a return to free market capitalism.

Far, far less public spending and only on those few core areas that our society actually benefits from and needs.

Get rid of the non-jobs and abstract pen pushers, and in consequence the important and useful public servants (like front line teachers, nurses, doctors, border security, emergency services etc) will have more time to do the jobs that they actually signed up for. Meaning they will be happier and more productive in their roles as well.

So, an 80% headcount cut should do the trick :) Similar story elsewhere in the West, so not a UK-bashing comment by me.

Not proactively attacking the bid to drive the SP higher, no, as far as I am aware.

They can lend their shares to shorters (for a fee), which provides a hedge for them, of course.

But ultimately, it is a simple scenario: if a company delivers, the SP will take care of itself. GLA.

As long as you are confident in your own research that led you to buying in, and you are not on margin/potentially in need of the cash in a short time-frame, then, while no certainties of course, IMO sooner or later you will be in profit.

That is unnecessarily harsh. People did read the RNS. And some decided it was worth the risk to remain and see if they could get a raise or some other finance arrangement in place.

We were led to believe that they had something of value. That was clearly misleading, as evidenced by the lights out.

As I said the other day, if it were otherwise, then the BOD would have put forward a proposition to shareholders that included significant inside participation. Which, IMO, they would have got it away. I would have supported it, with the right conditions, for example.

As to the other poster's comment about the trades: no idea. It would be good to know. Especially if it was any of the RENE staff. But I guess we never will. GLA.

I thought the BOD told you the shareholders were supportive? Cannot remember which poster made that claim here, after, I think, the recent interview.

I thought it was probably SG continuing to sell, based on the recent SP action.

Still no comprehensive strategy update, including how those asset sales are going.

If it holds and we do not revisit/test the lows then it will be a smart decision.

Well, if they really had that much confidence in the pipeline, they could have opted for share payment only and agreed to participate heavily in any small raise to keep the lights on for a few more months, for example.

I reckon such an approach would have gained shareholder support, because the sums involved would have been extremely trivial and their actions would have given confidence in it being a commercially wise decision to take.

Not like they did not already have plenty of time to deliver anyway.
