I am pretty surprised that it did not hold a quid...on the basis that I sold up the other day.

Right now, I seem to be on an inverse roll, but perhaps, for the first time in a while, I actually got a good (short term) read on this one. I simply felt it got a little overbought; looking for 89p/90p for a laddered return. If it does not happen, then GLA.

We all buy in the hope the SP will go up, sooner or later.

If we ever buy with certainty in our minds that the SP will definitely go up...then sooner or later, we are going to end up in the poor house! :)

Fair enough. For me, the Frasers angle keeps me coming back here. They are building quite the empire (see the increased position in HRN). Not to mention the increased stake here just the other day, too.

Are games being played to keep the SP down? Usually, you hear that type of comment, and it sounds frankly like desperate nonsense. But in this case, who knows? Puzzles me and has done for a while now, but I have posted my strategy and fingers crossed, it has been good to me. So far.

Ultimately, I think this price is too cheap. Whoever is selling, obviously disagrees. That is factoring in a so-so update. Not a stinker, but not ahead of guidance either. Time will tell who is right. GLA.

Got another partial fill at 359. Really must start doing fill or kills. Silly little number added, would rather not have bothered with. Hey ho.

Simply the lack of clarity on the cash runway situation, IMO. I guess the BOD will have to update the market at some point!

Anyway, if you look at the chart here over the past several months, hardly a test of patience, all these lovely 4-10% plus swings.

While I hold a few US stocks myself, lots of them are clearly in a hyper bubble state. And sooner or later, they will revert to the mean. Which will naturally drag UK and European markets down with them, but nevertheless.

Fair play. Lots to like here, I agree - as long as the turnaround plan is working - then no reason for you not to expect at least a double from here, at some point.

Similar target exit price for me too, although I am not as complacent as you about it being 'easy' to trade this one, although naturally hope we get what we seek!

Short term trend feels like to the downside IMO, so not going to move up my buy order. If it does not hit, so be it. GLA.

I think you make some valid points, Simon and I do not think anyone is going to shout you down (although some will disagree). This is a mature chat board, unlike some of the other ones that are barely worth reading, let alone contributing to.

Personally, I am really on the fence in terms of my expectations for the update. Maybe somewhere in the middle of your opinion and that of jamesss.

Either way, it is the forward guidance that will have a lot of my attention - and whether or not we see some significant BOD share buys immediately thereafter.

Gut feeling is this range is relatively safe, but the sustained high level of short interest, combined with this economic climate (which I am far from convinced is anywhere near the bottom of the cycle), keeps me cautious and frankly on my toes. GLA.

Best case scenario IMO is a DNL-type 'arrangement'. For those who may remember that quite frankly dubious-looking play.

Still, I expect we will see absolutely huge inside buying RNS's at 7am, right? Especially from our illustrious CEO, whose enthusiastic words never quite seem to translate into actual...well actions :)

I agree that if the next update is strong, then an offer/offers are far more likely to follow. Look at Curry's. Not in that one, but equally, I do not see a business that is now in amazing shape, nor one that has absolutely turned the corner for certain.

But I fully accept I could be entirely wrong about that. I am also not saying it is a dog either, and who cares anyway?

More recent shareholders are sitting pretty right now. The proof in the pudding will be if no offers are accepted by the BOD and then all eyes will turn to the next trading performance after that.

Much smaller share count and free float in this one and a much larger short interest too, which as mentioned the other day, at some point is going to need to unwind.

Added a few more myself today. Would be surprised if we did not have a go at the 200 DMA within the next few weeks or so. Over 9% dividend while we wait! GLA.

Hopefully the good run I have had trading this one will continue. It has been in a splendid trading range for a while now anyway.

Taken a couple of real beatings recently elsewhere, but you have to dust yourself off and keep going. And not let it cloud your judgement when analysing totally different stocks etc (said for his own benefit, as much as to share the wisdom on the chat board, lol). GLA.

Got a small 365p buy order in place. Not sure if it will hit, but either way, keep buying to make the shorts pay more to get them back :) Only IMO, not advice etc.

Agree. Perhaps the last CFO could answer those questions though, lol. Apologies for the gallows humour. I will probably log into the presentation tomorrow out of morbid curiosity. Might do a check list of the buzz words and BS that I can tick off as it goes along.

I have taken the death or glory path a few times, with my eyes wide open. Failure happens often with AIM micro and small caps. It is the outright dishonesty that I cannot and will not tolerate though, not the risk in this space.

Has the CEO bought a few million shares yet?
