I am not sure that anything could protect small shareholders from that scenario, west.
Especially if you essentially had the main two or three holders in agreement. That price would still be expensive for most of the shorts though, I think I am right in saying, so it could also put paid to the theory of shorts being in cahoots with MA, for example.
I also think enough of the small shareholders would take six quid right now if offered, to be honest.
I appreciate that some of you have been here for a lot longer, with in some cases averages much higher than this.
Higher than six quid even. Be that as it may, if the next update is at the bottom end of guidance, or worse, and an offer was to come in at a premium to the last raise price, then you might not like the result.
I still think the internal politics (MA v AP) could be to the benefit of shareholders not wanting a cheap take out, but given the SP action here, even after all that inside buying, it really feels like no more than a punt right now. GLA.
