I do not see the logic behind publishing this RNS when they did today, rather than 7am tomorrow.
It may not be a disaster, but it hardly gives the impression to the market of something good, either. And sentiment is all that matters, when a company is not financially bullet proof.
I think if JD does not have this potential deal signed by this evening, ready for release pre-market tomorrow, then he should pony up the £10 million out of his own pocket, on terms no worse than those of that lender (preferably much better, quite frankly), to be confirmed pre-market tomorrow instead.
Talk is cheap. Some of the bulls on this chat board have suggested he is someone of principle and integrity. That he will not go down the CVA route, or shaft shareholders etc, etc.
My punt holding here was not influenced by patter, or on the basis of his apparent moral compass, so if it goes pop, so be it.
But if he is not willing to put another £10 million here, should that loan not be agreed ASAP (the terms of which are not great, but equally nowhere near death spiral financing either), then it deserves to go pop and with it, his business reputation, IMO.
