RE: Longer term15 May 2013 12:14
I became a reluctant shareholder in RTN in the days when it was called Belhaven Brewery , I did not want to own shares in a restaurant company but the reverse takeover happened in the days when I read the financial news once a month and then it was too late but thirty years later I can say its been a good long term investment , its up 82% on its 12 month low point and seems to have made an upward breakout from the recent £4.80 plateau . The dividends are good and have increased most years . Shareholders get 25% off vouchers , useful if you can withstand eating in Franky and Bennys etc , not fine dining but better value than wutherspoons . I made some recent distastrous forays into the aim market on the reccomendations of the pundits, like AVM , AEY etc , better avoid the pundits they know nothing , basic boring companies like RTN nearly always do better. Where is the price heading , make your own guess , the pundits have no real idea .
