You make very valid points Mike. That is the risk with investing in these companies . Only time will tell whether the strategy DELTs board are following is inspired and to be applauded or naive and fruitless .

The wider picture of moving away from oil and gas is probably THE most relevant factor for all these companies , despite the deniers that litter these boards. The country can in effect carry on buying cheap gas whilst building the infrastructure to replace it . The North Sea will be a busy place regardless to whether it’s gas or wind. Maybe the sensible money has already moved elsewhere . I don’t know on that one if I’m honest . .

So both clear leisure plc and Brainspark associates Ltd (wholly owned by CLP) quote a 4.53% stake in Geosim...fair enough( maybe).....but CLP don't quote the 42 million (or thereabouts) owed by Brainspark to group undertakings....?

Just my take

MMs will have an idea where any bid might be. They can also make money up or down . If they think it might come in at 1.75p they could have held this around 2.5p instead of 1.1p. In all likelihood it will be nearer 1.8-2p minimum and they will have squeezed plenty out of the impatient to sell back higher on the way up.
