The website says 1.1m holding , so I may have missed a quarterly update where they sold more …but all investments are hopelessly out of date on the website e.g we no longer hold any shares in kanabo .
This is a point I think everyone can agree upon . Would take 5 mins to update the holdings
Piecing through RNSs I believe our holding in Ensilica is around 1.63million shares at an average of no more than 50p
Most were bought at 12% discount to original placing price of 50p and some were bought at next placing of 70p but most of those were sold immediately at a profit .
So the average might be lower but if we take 50p then clearly we are 10% up and the current holding’s value is just shy of £900k
This is not false and misleading information…although it would be much better all round if VELA kept a live record of their investments then there would be no argument !
They’re a lot nearer profit than when Csfs was at 6.5p JB !!
But the issue IMHI is the whole portfolio value against the current mcap .
Our CDT holding 5 mins ago was up 168k @£2.68m
The mcap as calculated by the share price times number of shares is circulation £2.07m.
So we are undervalued by around £600k assuming the other investments have zero value .
They do not …they are worth combined at least the same again .
Hence the SP is way under where it should be .
I understand the reasons why it has dropped ( poor communication etc etc) but I am merely saying it’s at a level one might take a reasonably safe punt, albeit still with risk .
Cornerstone is up 500% on year lows .
The market sector has been terrible but my point earlier was that at these levels a good return is highly likely . If you are stuck on a high average that’s a different story .
It only matters in relation to our initial investment and the exercise price of the option .
To be par on our initial investment plus the cost of the option CDT needs to be around $3.5, depending on the exchange rate . We exercised at $5 which was the most shares we could get . A CDT share price if $10 and we’ve trebled our investment . Even at current price it’s worth more than our market cap on its own !
The general consensus I got was that many would be pleased to see the back of him . Depends why he resigned so suddenly . In advance of regulatory rejection ? Or knowing a move was afoot to oust him ?
It was 30p, and Cornerstone was 6.5p this last year. TSP has also more than doubled.SKL briefly was in profit but has eased back...but still up 85% on year lows.
Basically it's not great but a lot better than it was 6 months ago. So buying at these levels should in theory bring a good reward.
Not many to be honest but bid at 0.0122 is up 10% on what I could get last week . Cornerstone has just hit year highs again. MWE had a positive RNS this morning and CDT is close to break even on our original investment...and even a modest increase would bring quite considerable profit.
