Not the largest bit of kit I've ever seen

The late printed sells from last Friday explain it all.

OSD: only referring to your historical post ( where you said you had retained 20,000 shares ), and today’s post when you hinted you were doubling up .

Most posters on here tend to contradict themselves over time .

For clarity again, I bought 475k of shares last week ( I held zero before) .

And I have no idea where the share price will be in a weeks time , but I’m currently7% up .

Time to double up with another £100 of shares OSD

You are correct that sentiment has been damaged, hence the share price barely moving despite a more concrete RNS .

But in the end that will be history if there is a marketable product . The question is also will there be a mining market left in which to place it .

If 95% of all the gold in the world had been mined then intuitively one might think twice about investing in mining infrastructure or projects as at some point it would be deemed uneconomic to get the rest out and to just leave it in the ground.

So what price does bitcoin have to be to justify the energy use to mine the last 5% ? And what % improvement in efficiency would help solve this equation.

The argument can go both ways, but again intuitively, I would guess mining will become focussed on fewer but much more powerful rigs owned by a few big companies and open source 'DIY' kits in bedrooms ( or the back of trailers in Serbia) will become redundant pretty soon as they are not economic.

So in this scenario a software efficiency or breakthrough becomes invaluable

Phimx: interesting hypothesis ( and we could all do with a fluff now and again), but as 'fleet' is free open source software they (QBT)would have been able to play around with it since last august when it was released, so your suggestion is a bit far fetched.

I imagine Block, in offering free open source software on repairable rigs, is creating a bit of completion in the market but they still only account for a tiny fraction of this market. So you could argue that makes more efficient software for the bulk of the 'non open source' market that bit more desirable...so the opposite of what you are arguing.

This reminds me of the famous 'mining rig' container in a parking lot in Serbia that ...er....came to nothing. I hope they've got enough to cover the electricity bills to run the rig this time.

We are well into the process already as the funding was part of the 'conditions of approval'. I would say most hoops are jumped through, and also getting 'aspire' change of owner approval was relatively quick.
