Whether or not we have lost 2248, the process of relinquishment all has to be undertaken through detailed discussions with the O&GA and handing over a detailed submission on what has taken place regarding seismic data, risk appraisals, prospective resources etc . Presumable, being fairly well placed with the O&GA May bide Algy a bit of time to pull something out of the hat at the last minute whilst they are still talking . I agree to an extent with Riddler that discussions are probably still ongoing , hence no formal announcement. GLA

Seeing that a dummy sell will give a price of 0.566 on over a million, then it seems the MMs are setting the range with trades such as the 25 share one that has just gone through at 0.55....which makes it look at first glance the price has dropped by 8% , when the bud/ask are the same as Friday.

I have been browsing your posting history too. You seemed adamant that CLNR would in no way lose 2248 as they had repeatedly hinted at self funding if no definitive farm out took place. Until we have a confirmation RNS and or updated websites from the O&GA and CLNR, we have to assume nothing has changed.

Also remember there has been no confirmation the deal with shell on Salene has actually been signed off, allowing for the extension to run until May 31st on that licence. Now that would be bad news....

Dickupham.... I concur with most of what you say, and agree that in the longer run a temporary relinquishment or even loss of 2248 will more than be made up for elsewhere. But.....the company should have updated the market yesterday , and also we should remember that 2248 has been one of the flagship licenses for years , and its loss in the short term would not be good PR for a company still looking to attract investment , and probably explains more rationally the retrace after the spike iafter the shell news . We can ride it out , sell and clear off or trade the waves if we dare , but however much I disapprove of the posting ‘methods’ of a1m and others , let’s all try and take a step back from this pointless slanging match . But I reiterate that an RNS should have been issued . In September 2248would have expired and we heard of the extension way before talks of exclusivity etc. I actually think we still have 2248 and will find out why on Monday . GLA

Thanks ....but my point was the RNS that initially told us about the extension until May 31st didn’t specify that a farm out had to be completed...just a well commitment by 28th Feb . It’s as if they self imposed that condition in the more recent RNS .....or it was just badly worded.....but the O&G might not need a farm out...just a commitment.

The terms of extension for 2248 were for a firm ‘well commitment ‘ by 28th Feb not necessarily through a farmout ...so the last RNS might have been better written , but they were concentrating on bigger things that day ...

From an earlier RNS on P2248 This will allow the Company to continue the ongoing farm out process and continue to explore various additional forms of financing which will support its aim of drilling one or more wells on these licences.

I disagree whether there should be an RNS...but agree with your general sentiment...just to clarify . It can’t be other than price sensitive . GLA

There is no confirmation they have relinquished it or retained it , but either way it would require an RNS .
