Del: I completely agree. The capital markets have been improving, exploratory budgets have bounced off the barrel bottom. Look at the number of equity raisings that junior explorers are doing all around us. What have they got? Holes in the ground and the promise of resources. In some instances drill results, rock chip samples. And all these rainbow chasers going after them. NO guarantees of the actual asset value.
Whilst this team has a ready list of assets which have defined resource estimates, in some instances measured resources, mines which have produced, properties which have had permits and jumped all the regulatory hurdles previously. Yes, the assets will have "some hair on them" as Bojtos described, but that's where the team's expertise comes in. So when the team pitches to the more sophisticated investors, they will have detailed business plans, about each asset, the numbers in terms of capex, returns and revenue projections. Why would investors not get excited at the opportunity of revenue generation within a short time frame? Does this sound more risky than a junior explorer with one or two plays in its portfolio? In fact the creation of SPVs would allow any non performing asset to be dumped easily IMHO. True, as DL stated, international investors may prefer a main listing, and I'm certain there are other strategic financial reasons to move to main listing, far beyond my comprehension. Just my two pence. Time will tell what the story is as it unfolds. Good luck all
