I take your points about P140. However, we have been told by Tim - ad nauseam - that this is the moment, umpteen partnerships are imminent and that we’re all about to live happily ever after.

I still hold in the hope, rather than the conviction, of something positive finally materialising this year.

I've rarely used stop losses, though I do sometimes set limit buy & sell orders.

My concern with stop losses is they can be triggered by short term volatility (even if the general SP trajectory is up).

Probably less of an issue with a fund than an individual share though.

Spantrout - sure. But IMM said that about all the previous Lanstead agreements. Yet with the exception of the 2016 one - when IMM's SP was riding high on (subsequently dashed) hopes of a successful P3 trial - they've been loss-making for IMM every single time.

ilovesushi - please give it a rest. We KNOW you don't like the latest Lanstead deal. Time to move on now.

Morri940 - I find the Avion delay increasingly worrying. This tie-up was first announced way back in 2020, so we're not just talking a short postponement. It wouldn't be so bad if IMM subsequently confirmed things were still progressing smoothly. But until they do, it's increasingly looking to me as though something may have gone wrong.

OK - so we can hopefully put this to bed once & for all, Peterpharma IS right when he says Lanstead can sell at ANY price.

I'm not saying I agree with him on everything else. But on that issue he's correct. End of.

I HAVE read your posts already. Which is why I formed this opinion of you.

Goldgirl - forgive me if I’m wrong, but you don’t come across to me as having a typically scientific mind, despite telling us this is your line of work.

Your posts seem to base decisions more on emotions than any provable facts. And you appear to take Tim’s every word at face value, rather than ever challenging his assumptions. Which, history suggests, is a very big mistake to make with Tim.

I’m genuinely not trying to be rude or to offend you in any way. Just saying it the way I see it. Others seem more aligned to your way of thinking, so maybe I’m the odd one out here.

I’d just expect a scientist to challenge more & to base their conclusions solely on “knowns”, rather than “hope” or “gut feelings”.

Nolupus - you may be right - hope so. All I'm saying is there are other possible explanations too.

Ilovesushi - largely irrelevant. INC midprice is currently 8.5p. If you can show me where to buy them for 5p, please do.

Nolupus - another plausible reason could be to do with any number of developments bubbling under at IMM. Some of which might require a short term cash injection.

Not that I hold much store by Tim's recent "breakthrough findings" revelation. But you never know.

If - as you suspect - it is to do with the INC warrants, that would be good news. Even Tim's unlikely to want to exercise them without being pretty convinced they'd be in the money.

PJMaaa - Tesla was a relatively small 2% of SMT's holdings at 31 12 24.

In any case, despite recent wobbles it's up 68% over the past 6 months and 90% over 12.

I'd be more worried about the head honcho there. I can see the men in white coats carting him off any day now.

Following his "Octopus Energy final demand payment" post this lunchtime, I'm REALLY concerned he's struggling to put another coin in the meter. And it's forecast to be another chilly night.

Nolupus - It's certainly interesting how those settlements on the previous warrant agreement have been re-staged. And even odder that the September payment has been cancelled altogether.

I doubt it has anything to do with the Incanthera take up though. Presumably if these still remain out of the money by 31 March, IMM will simply pay yet another £75k to extend. Unless they see no chance of INC winning its patent infringement case (which let's face it, Tim's best placed to assess). In which case, zero point in throwing good money after bad.

So the only scenario would be if Tim's ultra confident INC will win this dispute by end March. Which seems pretty unlikely given the normal comatose speed at which legal cogs turn.
