Spantrout - I hope you're not implying Tim may be deliberately telling us porky pies?

Judging by this morning's share price movement, the only "novel insight" is that Tim's got nowhere.

The DTC launch of Skin + CELL is scheduled for Q3 2025 & they're aiming to sell all 100,000 units by 31 March 2026.

So 100,000 units in 9 months. Good luck with that, particularly if they retail for anything like the price Vascular suggests.

Methinks this will turn out to be yet another of Tim's over-optimistic* forecasts (* some might even say deliberately misleading, but I couldn't possibly comment).

All those saying "we're only half way through the year" clearly don't appreciate Tim's form on this.

Promise big. Deliver nothing. Dilute. Rinse. Repeat.

Kaeren - “diluted”. Well yes, except the price actually closed higher on the day of that placing (which I don’t think I’ve witnessed with any other share I’ve held).

So the value of Edale’s original holding instantly increased over 15%. No wonder they thought “we’ll have a bit more of that”.

I really hope shareholders attending this AGM go for the jugular..

We’re almost half way through the year and all Tim’s delivered so far is yet another dilutive placing.

He needs to be asked:

a) WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH THE REVISED P2/3 TRIAL, WITH TIMELINES

& b) BY WHEN THIS YEAR DOES HE ANTICIPATE A PARTNER DEAL

If the answer to either is vague (which it almost certainly will be), we’ll know he’s up to his usual tricks & can simply cut our losses.

He’s taken shareholders for fools far too long. It’s now put up or shut up time.

RFX's latest results presentation stressed the impact the recent strong gold price has had on performance.

As it explains, deciding whether to hold gold (or other assets affected by the gold price) may be influenced by your age, risk appetite & overall investment strategy. And when the price of something is seemingly only ever going up, it's certainly tempting to want to ride the wave.

Spantrout - cheer up.

Rumour has it Tim’s (pint) glass is constantly overflowing with Champagne.

I believe Drachs first bought into MTL in April 24, when their SP traded around the 5.1p - 5.65p level.

It had closed in the 3p-4p range the month before they bought in and is currently just over 9p.

That said, you could have bought MTL sub-4p again in May 2024, so their intervention didn't cause the share price to rise consistently, though it has done significantly in the ensuing year and a bit.

Jenforluck - I don't think Tim has the luxury of time any more.

He firmly committed to 2025, so moving the goalposts to next year simply wouldn't wash.

That's not to say he won't try. But I think he'd be looking at a whole new set of investors if so.

Monteacute - 125,000 shares is peanuts. Equates to less than £4k.

Had it been £125,000, then yes their reasoning might have been worth listening to.

But £4k is probably little more than a hunch prompting a casino-type punt.

Letitrun - that quote (my caps) "These findings on the impact of a single dose of SlimBiome® ARE CONSISTENT WITH other published studies, consumer studies, and customer feedback ...."

If they're consistent with previous studies, to me that suggests the evidence was already there.

But you may be right that the burden of proof is higher in the US.

Even so, I get the distinct impression Opti's scientific studies have often overlapped & repeated themselves unnecessarily. There's only so much evidence you need before the effective communication & marketing of it becomes more important than the evidence per se.

FS - I think your last point re: more publicity needed is key.

Opti has commissioned umpteen scientific studies now which prove Slim’s efficacy as an appetite suppressant & weight loss supplement.

Whilst these studies were.critical initially in developing USPs to persuade partners to list, we don’t to keep churning out the same scientific results & evidence. That’s just wasting time & money. What’s been lacking is slick marketing to boost awareness & understanding of these advantages, as opposed to weight reduction drugs with all their potential undesirable side effects.

SOH comes across to me as more of a scientist who believes if you can prove something with research data everyone will instantly buy it. Sadly, it’s not that simple. You also need to be able to sell it.

Fortunately it looks as though some of Opti’s more recent partners have this sales know how & customer reach. But it’s taken way too long to get here. And we STILL don’t really know whether a Sweet deal is actually progressing/near. Or if negotiations have stalled. Again, everyone understands these things take time. But shareholders have been very patient already and there’s only so long that’ll continue.
