Tim goes on in that same interview to say of the current discussions "we've got a LITTLE bit of competitive element in there".

Having talked - just SECONDS prior - of: "a number of top 10 global pharma companies interested and other medium sized compoanies, so a good broad range of options for us".

Are you sure Dame was actually awake when she performed her in-depth interview "analysis"?

OSD - Here's my take on Tim's credibility: "We originally set out ... 2025 .. to be the year of delivery and largely speaking we have met that".

Never mind all "Dame's" psychobabble. Just analyse that sentence and tell me what's wrong with it.

Hint: there was NO deal in 2025, despite Tim saying ad nauseam that there would be - in fact repeatedly hinting at more than one deal.

Couerdelion - the >65 exemption on cash ISAs was probs to butter them up before the triple lock is nixed shortly after the next general Election.

Or possibly before, as Labour might just point to circumstances changing (i.e. overspends) & manipulate another manifesto promise....

Martinu - yes, costs remain way too high given the current turnover level. Even with the reductions recently announced.

I wouldn’t say the funding from SBTX sales has necessarily been squandered though. A fair bit has been “invested” in developing Sweetbiotix. If that eventually gains commercial traction, it could well be a game changer. But as you suggest, that!s far from certain given Opti’s track record.

OSD -it's good that they responded. However I don't think it's that rare. Most comanies I've engaged with (including Aim ones) have answered any reasonable non market-sensitive requests for info/clarification.

The nature of the response is ultimately what matters though. Not how quickly or if they reply.

I note in the Sunday Roast interview, Tim states - and I quote verbatim - "it's never a good position to be in when you're talking to other companies to do a deal when they sense your urgency".

And who, pray, got us into that very position? Step forward one Tim McDim, the ONLY person ever putting pressure on timeframes by stating - REPEATEDLY - that 2025 would be the year of delivery.

All the usual optimists who've listened to this latest interview see nothing but positives within it. However, one thing they overlook is who's saying it, what he's promised before (both with IMM & elsewhere) and how little of it has actually come true in the past decade or more.

Tim has REPEATEDLY shown skill in convincing people black is white. Problem is, each time he does it more investors lose total patience, seeing him for what he really is.

If you’d read one of my posts this morning, you’d have seen I said a deal WAS still possible, though it now looked an increasingly remote prospect. That - to me - is a balanced take on the current situation.

Trouble is, Tim’s groupies here have become ever more vocal & irrational since his latest RNS. And that, to my mind, calls for a much more robust rebuttal.

Otherwise you only ever hear the positives, even when the facts are clearly pointing the other way. How else do you explain a 30%+ SP drop in less than a week?

Ignore any buy / sell data. We all know it’s inherently unreliable.

Just look at the SP trajectory. Tells you all you need to know since Tim issued his latest “highly positive” RNS.

I did think your post was a spoof to begin with - it being so delusional - but on re-reading it I fear you actually believe all the garbage you wrote. All goes to show some people are beyond all hope.

Yes there's another VERY good reason - the only one that really matters in fact. And that is that nobody sane is likely to believe a single word Tim comes out with at said interviews from now on.

Tim’s believers won’t even concede they might possibly have got things wrong. They were arguing yesterday the RNS was highly positive, even as IMM’s SP plummeted.

So much ramping garbage on here today, all of which totally flies in the face of facts or reason. Below are my responses to some of the comedy classics:

xcoder - "it's not like the RNS is saying it's not going to happen at all". Sure, but when would an RNS ever say that? Unless a company's about to go bust?

Morri940 - "please explain to me what's changed". Two things:- timeline and any remaining sense of investor confidence.

toffers - "What's not to like about this?" Everything. We were told CATEGORICALLY one or more deals by year end and that 2025 was the year of delivery yada yada. Now - with only weeks left to deliver - we're suddenly told they're "valuing a more methodical approach over speed". It would be funny, except people are invested here.

halfbutt - you actually BELIEVE people when they claim to own millions of shares?! No wonder Mrs Halfbutt's incandescent with you this evening.

Silversurferceo - "(Lisa) alleviated my concerns then, she has again." That's what Investor Relations are paid to do. Just like she did in May. And you should maybe start asking yourself whether it's smart to fall for the same trick twice within 6 months.

FS - as letitrun implied, you seem determined to read a negative into literally everything this company says & does.

Sure it has been far from perfect and things have always taken way longer than expected.

But to state (as you did today) "We could have had a decent business but sold everything" is just plain factually wrong. Opti has NOT sold everything. Nor is everything lost.

So why the SP drop then?
