Doesn't bother me. I said when we were at 40p, that I didn't care how low it went on maintained profitability. Taking between 5-6% of shares out of the market each year is good enough for me, whilst the Lloyds valuation is between my next purchase and sale levels.

Once again -Making the lender of money responsible for a car salesman not making it clear about commission amounts to their customer is beyond common sense. I imagine that it is no better a proposition for a car purchaser using borrowed money now than it was in the period in question.

What is stopping ALL purchasers of cars under the previous arrangements saying that that had no idea about commissions being paid . Just another possible new scam against organisations that help to keep the economy ticking over by making money available to grease the wheels of commerce. Any money paid out by Lloyds and other banks via the car scam, could have the consequences of higher interest amounts being charged on future car finance to recoup the scam money.

There is already an additional levy on banks on top of corporation tax.

We have a Socialist government voted in by a third of voters, so an increase in the levy cannot be ruled out. In addition more tax will be paid by Lloyds by way of the increased NI tax on employment. Further reductions in not needed future headcount could counteract the NI increase.

I have said a few times in the past already that I do not 'short' a stock .

The current SB's are at a lower amount invested per point compared to when I was last trading SB's at much lower levels, but I would contemplate increasing with further falls. Happy not to be in the black on these until June, as this would mean good pricing levels for the rest of the current buyback programme and well into the 2025 one.

there was great fanfare when some dinghies were founds and destroyed - as I said at the time, it was like some drugs getting ceased coming into the country - as if it made the slightest difference.
