Wasn’t it JDPM would did that on a regularly basis, he’d arrange a day and a time, then he’d crack open a bottle of something nice with a little review of the wine, then he’d host a Q&A for anyone who was around, an open discussion. Also talked about rubber bands a lot if my memory is no too hazy.

Oh yes Borgo, he was a character intimating he was in the know, but I think he it was all binary guessing, no doubt with industry knowledge or insight, which made it more believable, but flip a coin time IMHO. His stories of sharkeys were always fun though, his imagination and writing skills were far better than his predictions. LOL.

Now we are in the hands of Navitas and the OM award, fortunately we can survive until OM comes in which will be a nice Brucie Bonus. So now it’s just a matter of waiting until Navitas gives a game plan, which could be sooner rather that later with a bit of luck.

I still can’t help wondering why they were all there, Gideon talking about the project to a private few by invitation only with no press coverage! Were they there to discuss the tax situation and get something signed off? Who knows, hopefully we will all know soon.

Gosh, now there is a blast from the past, I think Mystic Meg also did a sketch showing SL but a bigger patch of oil further south where Isobel is located if my memory serves me! Oh those were the days on III, hopefully we will experience them again once production drilling starts and they decide to do an exploration or two on Isobel while they are down, after all it would be too good and opportunity to pass up on.

LOL, I did too yesterday, sold a few Harbour after the lack luster results and investors call, Linda is sticking to her guns of looking for M&A in established basins, so can’t see any substantial gains there, holding a few for the dividend, but thought I’d top up a little more here.

I am still laughing to myself over MD’s post, the contradictions are funny. The person who shared it with MD must have been right at the back on one of the extra chairs that were brought in as he said, “ Everyone introduced themselves” then couldn’t remember the Israel chaps name. Then there was the private meeting with press there, but no press have reported anything! “ Not every Tom, dick or Harry was there” MD said. I was going to comment that there may not have been a Tom or an Harry but there was certainly a……….!!!! But then I thought that was a bit rude! LOL.

Just a bit of banter MD, don’t take it personal, appreciate you sharing the information even if it was 2nd or 3rd hand. The jury is still out with regards the detail but the share price action seems to be somewhat affirming some positive things must have been said. Good luck all. Nice one Mogger as always. Just had a scan over their most recent Annual report and they do not appear to have anything going on with Argentina, so that's another box ticked!

Well if they were down to seal a deal and they wanted to look into the eye of the people they were dealing with, I wonder what news we can expect in the next few days/weeks?

Will we get an RNS saying a MOU has been agreed/signed? Will we get a forward schedule, because as I mentioned before If Gideon said they are aiming for 2026, even in a private meeting, they will have to start lining up the ducks and getting equipment on order; getting a rig contract sorted; sourcing the FPSO and getting it refitted to meet spec.

There are a multitude of things that would have to be done and done in certain order if they have a hope in hell of achieving first oil by 2026/27. All I can think is, the money is all but sorted, as he couldn't make such a statement and THEN go out cap in hand!

It's all very interesting indeed, from a personal point of view, if they could just hang fire on any major news until after the 6th of April, it would allow me to stack a good amount of shares into my ISA. ;-)

Have to agree Space, I wonder if they went to discuss tax breaks, reduced royalties or the like to give any investors a carrot of two! It would make a lot of sense and ensure this show finally gets on the road.

Either way it has to be something pretty important to get all the main people down there together along with a UKGov bod as well. If they are putting money where their mouth is, on a timeline of 2026 or even 2027 for first oil, they will have to get cracking pretty soon! My 9p warrants could be worth a few bob by the end of 2023! Nice.

MD, you are right, you didn’t say it, Navitas did, however you didn’t hear them say it and there lies the issue.

If you had put your post as my contact in the FI’s was at the meeting and the following was said, then people could judge for themselves. Nobody was calling you a lair, they just wanted more meat on the bones. Did you not question you contact about what they said? Did you not ask who the main speaker was, talking about 2026? Or did you just copy and paste their info and trust?

I’m not saying your contact is anything but an honest and decent person, but you can see why people are questioning things. Partly because it is the best news we have had in years for the SL project.

I always believed Navitas would be the driving force, there was a lot going on behind the scenes, the new hires; the FI Government jobs, all point to a dynamic team forging ahead. Your info from the meeting confirms that.

The truth will out and I thank you for sharing, but don’t spit the dummy when a few questions are asked, did you honestly no one would?

I’d like to think the wouldn’t enforce the stay, Italy has tried every trick in the book to kick this can down the road even though it’s costing them, what was it, €1m-€1.5m per month?

I’d like to see them say there is no stay and RKH et all can go after the money, but it has to be put into an account untouched until the outcome is finalized. But it probably just wishful thinking. The main thing is they are steaming along with regular updates, unlike the original case. It bodes well for an early resolution.

Hi Paul, yes I have to agree, doesn't read like it’s from Garbled/M-D, seems like it was written by someone else and he’s copy pasted it.

I seem to recall when they went by the moniker Garbled they had some contact down in the FI’s who used to feed them info. So I think it’s right to take it with a pinch of salt, even though it does like the sort of thing Gideon would say, he is a powerful speaker and exudes confidence.

The only thing is, surely we have other Falkland Islanders who own shares and read and post on these boards, so why has no one else added comment or given their take on the presentation? If the venue was packed out with chairs being brought in, somebody else who is on this BB must have something to add!

Or are they getting orders filled at the current lows before the news breaks! ;-)

Rookie, I’d have to agree, a back down 70% and a line drown under $85 per barrel, anything above get gets the levy, anything below and the higher rate goes, back above the the rate kicks in.

It would be common sense but it seems common sense is as rare as Rocking Horse******!

Hopefully Linda will show a new direction for the company otherwise shareholders will leave in their droves !

Well I can’t imagine they are “ Going there and back to see how far it is!” as my Dad use to say.

The fact Gideon is going makes me think they are not messing around, no reason to travel all that way for just a cuppa and a chat, they can Zoom or use Meets if it was for that. No they must be there to iron out a few details with Gideon going, showing his and the companies commitment.

So is the MOU it get everyone on the same page before getting around the table and signing off on things right?

So they could or maybe more importantly SHOULD be discussing the tax regime and royalties among other things, as Navitas won’t be able to entice investors in with a 5 year return on capital if things change and FIG put up the royalty or Tax rate if oil goes to $100 per barrel. Also they will want some assurances that if oil drops to $50 per barrel maybe there is flexibility to cut the royalty to keep oil pumping.

Interesting times are ahead me thinks, despite the lack of direct news, there has been a lot going on the background, in fact far more than PMO did in there 7 or was it 8 years of being operator.

Hoping to be cashing in my warrants for double or maybe triple the cash price by the end of this year with a fair wind picking up behind Navitas. Fingers crossed.

I know the drill cost 11m but with the new GOV tax rules on exploration, don’t they get back something like 92p of each £1 spent or have I got it totally wrong?

Seems like Shell and Deltic still have a lid on this, quite amazing really! We should hear something this week or next hopefully.

Shell and Deltic must be running a tight ship as we are getting close now, news could drop any day, however there is no real trading of any note going on.

Can't guess which way it's going to go, I am airing to the side of a positive result but that is purely based on the idea that they wouldn't spend all this time doing a full well test if it was borderline from the out set, but stranger things have happened at sea!

Interesting times are ahead.
